All you jackhammers telling us about what typical ND students do or what you did need to get a reality check.

The world doesn't care what your tests scores are. The world wants to know how you can contribute.

Comparing ordinary ND students (or what you did) to what individuals who possess truly elite physical skills and talents is like comparing cows to horses.

Get a clue and get over yourselves.
Sorry i'll go to my room now.

So what are the odds that he does come to Notre Dame? Is it mostly grades holding him back?

That's it. If it's McKenzie's choice, he is Irish. He already verbally committed to ND. Just waiting on the scores.

That being said… he didn't do very well last time… don't tase me, JTLA

I hope he can make the scores. Would hate to see a kid like him slip away even though he wants to be here.

Do we know the hard date that we find out his scores (or expect news)? Went back several posts and didn't see a date.

Kid is an electric playmaker… period…

I hope he can get in. Otherwise, we will be bumping this thread for four years as he tears up college football.

There is a nice article on Isiah McKenzie in the Miami Herald - thursday high school sports edition(12-12). Seems Isiah is more interested in his little brother and his grandmother's health than his most recent SAT test score!

Well that's not going to help him get into Notre Dame.

ISD posted that they texted with Mckenzie tonight. He said he originally said 14, but meant 14 days following his test, which is the 21st.

Sounds like ship is sailing. Says he hasn't spoken to Alford in 2 weeks and has a Rutgers visit on tap for January 17th. Bummer.

That's strange. I have a hard time believing Alford wouldn't at least give him a call unless IM did something to piss him off or Alford knows IM won't qualify.

It's more than his test score.

He's not going to be able to qualify. Will not be a member of this class.

That's a shame.

But if we're looking at this from purely a football stance, we could use that scholarship to hopefully bring in another D-Lineman. Luckily our future looks bright at wide receiver, so it doesn't hurt us as much.

But from a human stance, it sucks. The kid seemed to want to be here, but if he struggled that hard to even qualify for Notre Dame, I can only imagine the difficulty he'd having trying to keep up with his studies. Perhaps it's for the best for all involved.

Wiltfomg has a list of 9 prospects that he lists in order of most likely to land and Mckenzie doesn't make the list. He says at the bottom not to rule out IM as ND hasn't but definitely a long shot here. I would just assume NO until further notice.

So no IM and no Nelson (sounds like anyway). Any other 5'8" playmakers we are going after?
