ESPN and Scout so behind the curve it's funny. Anyone who paid attention to his season knows he's probably as good of a prospect as Mark Andrews, and maybe has the most upside as an offensive weapon TE of any prospect in this class. He's incredibly athletic and just needs to put on the weight.

Notre Dame is loading up on dual sport(football/basketball) athletes. Golson, as a freshman, played point guard on a team that won state. Initially Brent had his focus on basketball. Bivens didn't early enter because of his commitment to his high school's basketball team. Jay Hayes, at one time, thought basketball would be in his future. The list goes on!

ahead of Luatua......

Andrew Williams cracked in at #250.

And now that I have seen both Luatua and Weishar live, that order is a no-brainer IMO.

that was Josh Hemoldt.

Good. At least we'll have something tangible now when we all justify not landing Luatua lol

Wow, that's pretty shocking considering where both kids started off the season in rankings. I guess I also didn't realize what an apparent diamond in the rough Weishar is because of it.

There are a lot of people who aren't high on Tyler Luatua. I will be honest from everything I have heard and read I am also not one of them. A lot of mods aren't high on him and question him. But ND staff loves him and that's good enough for me. Give me Weishar and Schultz though

Per scout, he was born on 09/19/1994. Is this right? He will turn 20 almost in the beginning of the season. Older than most of the current freshmans on the team.

Yeah. Okwara will be playing in a pro bowl before he can legally drink.

Okwara is a sophomore! They are nine months apart in age then. With Romeo(So), and Jaylon Smith(Fr) being younger, three days apart in June of '95.

Offensive surprise of the class?

Character kid, all he needs is to be able to put weight on.

Weishar, Williams, Brent, Kizer, Hayes, Blankenship - this would make a very nice signing day for a college basketball program.

I see could see him filling in as the 3rd TE next year, especially in a Tyler Eifert type role
