It's pretty much 24/7 for me or bust.

or whichever site ranks our players the highest

But out of that list, only 3 southern schools. Good.

Tweeted that he and Hilliard have BIG plans....hopefully this has nothing to do with the BIG ten.

Probably means they're considering going to the same school. If that's the case, I really like ND's chances now.

If they plan on going to the same school then I would say it is trending towards Michigan not ND.

I don't think so. Despite Cornell's latest interest, ND is still a BIG leader over Michigan. In addition, Hilliard is pretty much down to ND and Iowa, with OSU a distant 3rd. Whoever made the CB predictions on him were probably wasted when they did. Not one predicted ND, even though they are obviously neck and neck with the Hawkeyes.

This would all be news to me.

I'm fine with where we stand for Cornell right now, although Michigan has made some strong plays for him and is off to a killer 2015 start as well. Hoke recruiting is all about signing up guys early with aggressive, effective recruiting and then trying to retain them through their bad season. So far he has done a good job because the kids all tend to build good bonds with each other.

I'm far more worried about our recruiting of Hilliard. Obviously not making as big of an impression as we would want to make and he's wide open right now with ND somewhere in the pack. Think we should've signed his bro to make him a lock.

How many kids talk every year about playing together? Then each one make his own choices looking what is the best for himself.. do not worry about this. They love to talk about playing together and bring some National Championships.

According to Bucknuts nut Bill Kuerlic, Cornell and Hilliard are looking to set up unofficial visits together to OSU and.... Michigan. This is supposedly what the tweet about "making moves" was referring to.

Has Andrew Williams committed to ND yet?

It's not quite as bad as you make it sound, most likely Bill asked Cornell exclusively about OSU and Michigan and those were his answers. Most guys that do the recruiting beat for B1G teams don't even bother to ask about ND.

Just my opinion though, appreciate the update.

We've done such a shitty job of recruiting Hilliard. If we could've gotten him on campus for USC I think the race would be very different.

Star, is that you? ;) I kid, I kid..

Hahaha yes, Kelly should've offered him back in 2009 when he was in Cincinnati because Hilliard was local. #poorscouting

All I will say is that over time we've lost ground with both of these guys, although with Cornell we made up a lot on the USC visit. Hilliard skipped USC to go to Clemson-FSU and it doesn't look like we got that surge. There is still such a long way to go in 2015 I'm not really "concerned"... but for such a position of dire need I would've thought the staff would've been all hands on deck with Hilliard a la Jaylon Smith for awhile now. And I do wonder about not offering his brother. A combo of Cornell + Hilliard is an almost program changing duo on defense.

Agreed. But ND needs to be establishing dominance over michigan for Midwest recruits. We also need to be battling OSU for the Cincy area. That's the best area for ND to recruit in Ohio due to a decent ND following. It's the only place we are already established.
