Listening to an interview with him on ESPNU. Pretty impressive, well-spoken kid. It's a shame we can't get back involved in his recruitment.

Not gonna lie I'm jealous he's picking michigan tomorrow. We all hate michigan but it's a great school and a great program. I'm glad some kid is takin academics seriously from everything everybody is saying.

Total smoke screen and BS. All the crap about engineering and such early on... yeah right. Why eliminate Tech but consider Alabama and Florida if that's the case? This decision has absolutely nothing to do with academics.

Mattison is very alluring and a great recruiter. He seems to have seriously great connections throughout the mid-Atlantic too. That's all this is.

Exactly. If he was serious about academics, he wouldn't go to Michigan. Don't get me wrong, overall, it's a good school.... but for football players, it is not a good school and the stats prove that statement.

It's gonna happen. It's fun reading back on his recruiting saga and realizing how much of a diva this guy is. He didn't like Ohio State because on his first visit there they didn't kiss his *** enough. He talks about loving keeping people in "suspense" and playing the recruiting game. He blows sooooo much smoke about education and engineering and such... yet he drops Virginia Tech while keeping Alabama on the list.

Basically, everyone in these parts thinks he's picking Michigan because they did the best job of catering to his ego and sucking up. Mattison did a great sell job, whereas Virginia Tech offended his ego at some point by not showing enough "love." It's really ridiculous.

The only thing that would be hilarious is if he pulled a switcheroo for Alabama just to "shock the world" or whatever. I'd laugh my butt off.
