Nope. South Carolina is the team that he seems to have drastically cooled on according to his coach.

According to the coach his list in TCU, TAMU, ND, OSU and UM and unless things have changed we know he preferred ND to OSU and UM. He makes it seem as though Braden is still wide open.

That's odd. His coach told Rivals a bunch of ACC/SEC schools and excluded the MW schools. Now it's back to his list from the Spring.

Seems like another one where we don't really know.

Per Intel ND is fading and a OV is up in the air... odds are he ends up elsewhere. So basically what we already surmised.

Don't see us adding another OL this class and given other needs fine by me. Also hearing McGlinchey may see the field sooner rather than later. Impressive kid.

I would take Smith and promptly move him to the DL. Personally, I think that's where he has the biggest upside.

And, I agree. If we miss on Smith, or any of the other OL (i.e. Mama), I'm fine with that. At this point adding another OG is a luxury, not a need.

IMO he's probably not too high on us anymore due to our current OL class and the five from last year.

Agree. Looks very athletic and has the size for DE in the 3-4.

I kind of love this idea. He'd be like a bigger, stronger, more athletic Sean Cwynar. Is anyone else looking at him on D?

I've heard of DL switching to OL but very rarely do OL change to DL.

Oh I don't think he'd switch. With our lack of depth at NG in 2014, I think Braden would start out there and probably stay there, if he were to pick ND.

Sure, but if you see your future at OL and are being recruited that way by others, that's a "switch," even if you play both ways in high school.
It is odd, though, why more kids don't flip from OL to DL. Jarron Jones is the only person I can think of lately who's (sort of) done it. If you're in a stacked OL depth chart you've got better odds of seeing the field on defense, and nasty defensive ends are a major commodity in the NFL. I realize the skill sets are a bit different, but that stuff is teachable, especially for an incoming freshman. Why isn't it more attractive?

I would be shocked if he doesn't end up at TCU. Will play left tackle, and will play early and a lot.

No kidding? Hmm. Have to wonder what's going on here... OL with Mama off the board or DL?

That was my first thought.

TAMU and TCU will also get officials. Bama, Auburn and Georgia all in the running for OVs as well. No timeline for a decision and dad says he could end up at any of the six.
