I haven't read everything in this thread, so I might be way off base, however.....

if his decision on where to go to school has anything to do with a girlfriend, then I say cut the cord with this dude. choosing a GF over a 40year decision says his head isn't on straight.

If I had a choice right between breaking up with my girlfriend and getting a master's degree at Stanford, or staying local and getting one at a crappier school, I'd choose to stay put. Worse 40 year decision for my career? Yup. Worse 40 year decision for my life? Nope. It's all about what's important to you.

Come on, Lax! The kid is 17 or 18. This is not about a grown person relocating from a place where he is settled down and has some roots, its about a kid before he goes to college.

No one knows their *** from their elbow at 18. The chances that he stays with the girl are probably about 1%!

If you are being romantic--throwing reality to the wind--why can't they make it long distance? You are in college, you have more free time then you will ever have in your life! She can make some road trips during the year, and you'll be home for Christmas, spring break, summer, etc.

But no relationship can make it long distance! Because... you know (wink, wink), right? Well, then, now we are back to reality and the 1% chance of making it!!!

If they are one of those rare couples that is planning long-term, you need to maximize your education at that age. You need to say, concentrate on school and football. We'll make this work. You don't need to say, "Stay close by so we can make out a lot. Its just safer for me that way."

Kelly has done an incredble job at ND getting in the player he has, i feel for him sometimes because of who he is not able to get because of the restrictions and dont think for a second he doesnt try....

Kelly is going to get alot of things changed in his time at ND
Field turf was acually supposed to go in last season, thats why the sidelines got done if you noticed before last season.

it was Weis, not Kelly, who started to get ND admissions to allow a couple borderline "exceptions" per year. (talking 2 or 3 and no more here)

If the JUCO thing has some truth to it, I'd be very much in favor of that.

As long as the kids they elect to bring in can hack it academically, I don't have any problem with JUCOs. It's 100% legal, and it's always been silly to me that Notre Dame just refuses to play on a level field as the schools they compete with.

I have no problem with it either, if the kid is legit. Make the Juco earn it. If he does, I think it is pretty arrogant to turn him away!

Technically, I believe Rudy went to Holy Cross, then transfered to Notre Dame, then one year later walked onto the team.

So he was a student at Notre Dame before he came to play football. So it's a little different.


That being said, I agree with you. If a kid has the grades, talent and desire. Then why stop them? Seems petty.

If I understand it, there is no rule AGAINST jucos. The issue is that 99.9% of jucos don't take the kind of classes that you need to jump into ND's curriculum. Hence the rareness.

You don't have to break up. If it is indeed true love, it should endure. Someone that truly love someone else does not put sticks in the wheels of the other. They help them fulfil their dreams.

As soon as i got here i recomended Hood to Kelly and his staff, since then you know what has happened...

I have become good friends with Hood, still talk to him about ND all the time....

I don't believe you and think you are full of it. I just spent some time on DD looking over your history and no thanks on your generous offering of "inside knowledge" to this board.

If you have time, I would love to know how a guy from Miami (that now resides in NC) that is old enough to have known this staff "for many years" could also be "good friends" with all of these 17-18 year old recruits?

Finally. We do have some peeps on this board that really do know players, coaches and ND beat writers. Ironically, none of them know who you are. So if your whole persona is "resident insider" than we're full. Feel free to stick around as a normal fan, but we don't need anymore wannabe's. Certainly not ones that have been exposed and banned from other forums.

Also i posted pictures of when Lynch and Rabasa got there letters of intent from ND.
Pictures of me and Manti.
A text messege that Lynch gave me to post to tell everyone why he decommited the first time, everything in it is 100% right on because it was stright from him.
I also posted way before anyone else and espn and all those other places when Lynch and Rabasa were gonna commit and on those same post i said that that we were getting some QB from SC that ended up being Golson.
I have been 100% on everything on Hood, i posted about before i talked to him when he went to SB and after he got back.

There is plenty of people in here that have read my posts on DD and then have come back to give you guys info that was right on.

I'll make sure to soon post the pictures from this past weekend with me and some of the guys and of me with Coach Orgeron.

I know most people here don't go over to DD much, so figured I'd at least offer that insight.

Not bragging, i was called out and had to defend myself.

If i'm not welcomed here i will move on. I enjoy talking to ND fans and hearing what they have to say about the team and the staff.

It's cool to me, if going on a site to read stuff i like makes me a geek or nerd i guess i'm guilty.

the last thing i want is trouble or making enemies, i came here for a fresh start, DD just got to hectic, cool people in there put had to take a break.

Can we start all over, nom hard feelings to the guy that attacked me.
