In all seriousness, Tuitt obviously isn't having the type of season I'm sure he and we expected thus far. Unless this changes drastically and he plays lights out in the second half of the season wouldn't you think we would see him back next year?

No.
He's still a first round pick. I don't see him returning.

I'd love to see him come back, but I don't believe that he will.
I don't know if he'll get his degree this year...I know it's been discussed here a good bit...But he can do what most ND guys who declare early do, come back and finish it off.

He's improved every game and will continue to do so as his conditioning improves.

Lol no player on defense is having the type of season we expected except for Nix.

Mostly because we set unrealistic expectations. I mean, people were saying Grace is faster and will be better than Te'o or at the very least not much of a drop off before the season started.

Agreed and and I also think he'll improve thorough out the season, but I really don't know if his play thus far has dictated a first round projection. I'll bet it has dropped some. Wasn't it top 10 at one point? He's definitely a step slower and not making the plays he was last year.

Teams evaluating him for the draft understand how much of a setback the surgery was. If his play at the end of the year warrants top ten consideration, they're not going to care how he played early in the season while still getting back into shape after surgery. It's not like his play regressed without an explanation.

If he ends the season on a high note, the buzz will be that he's back in shape after surgery and he'll be set in the NFL's eyes.

That's the tuitt it we all want to see. He never gave up tonight on any play. He kept pushing hard. He was constantly in the backfield good improvement tonight.

He was rusty and overweight after the surgery. If you notice he has been getting better every week.

He was in the backfield all night. He finally showed what we have been expecting all season. Nice.

He was non-existent in the 1st half and came out like a demon in the 2nd. Momma Tuitt must have gotten a hold of his ear.

I noticed him in the backfield quite a few times in the first half also.

I did see him give up on like the third to last play when we were playing prevent. He flushed their QB and then stopped. What was he thinking. We were only up by 10 with 15 seconds left

He was obviously behind at the start from where he left off because of his surgery. He's gotten better every game. And a lot better the last 2. You couldn't ask for anything more.

His best game of the year.
You might notice the contrast with Jaedevon Clowney, who begged out of his game today with some sort of minor rib injury.

Agreed......by far, Tuitts best game this year, and they'll need bigger games from him going forward!!!!

He is 320 lbs and playing against a hurry up, fast pace offense. With his overall performance I will cut him some slack for taking a couples plays off. He could have taken a entire game off, like Clowney.

He played well last game, and improved during this one. All you can ask for after off season surgery and not being allowed to work out and condition. I would like to see him not get pushed outside and around the pocket like he did a few times, but nobody can be at the QB every play. As far as Clowney, his year has been worse than Tuitts I think. Something like 2 sacks and 12 total tackles. He requested just before game time to sit this one out and even the coaches were surprised. He does have lingering injuries tho, and the bone spurs in his foot have to be a concern for the NFL, he's had them since high school.

May be best game of the year but he is far from what he was last year. I get it and understand why. Not mad at the guy for it. I just hope he plays solid the rest of the year and comes back for one more!!!

I agree all we can ask for is to improve each week.
