Said as much in the forum, but it looked like Kelly was calling the game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Even if Martin's calling the game, usually the HC still has input like "power run here" or "deep pass here". So it's hard to tell how much of the offensive ineptitude in due to just Martin.

Didn't read all the posts, but I hope CM, BK (or whomever is responsible for calling in the plays) gets a cab home from the stadium again today.

Maybe I should amend the title to "our play calling is just really bad."

It did seem like all or nothing today. Run the ball or try for a go route. Sort of odd, but I also don't know what the defense was showing. Every long route was man coverage and a jump ball. Our guy vs. your guy. That was ballsy.

I hate to say it. But that last quarter was the first time since Kelly took over that I thought Willingham was on the sideline.
The last two drives that resulted in punts were weak!
Letting MSU decide the outcome of the game in the last 4 minutes was painful to watch.

Lmao.

They started some time ago.

Truth.

Bryant isn't happy with his amount of carries. Which, in my opinion, he hasn't earned.

At this point, I don't really care. You don't come to ND to have everything given to you or to be a little whiney b!tch. You can't win at ND without players that are willing to overcome adversity. If he wants to bail because he's not getting enough touches as a true frosh, then beat it kid. Folston has looked better anyway.

11 minutes left on the clock... what do we do?

give up any offensive game plan, and just predictable run middle every time, or if it's 3rd and short and don't feel like running the ball, go route overthrown or out of bounds.. Lol

Philip Daniels should worry about his son getting abused all day long in single coverage. Whether they knew what we were doing or not doesn't change the fact that DaVaris was getting killed in single coverage all day. His effort and ability was the worst I have ever seen it. Philip needs to have his son look in the mirror before he tweets another dumb@ss statement like that.

I actually agree with Mr. Daniels but what the hell is he tweeting for. Nothing good can come of that!

I feel like Wooly saw a Cincinnati, Keil jersey and it finally dawned on him. He's coming out all guns blazing!

His son got single coverage all day long and got targeted over 20 times. Are you f.cking kidding me?

How many of those balls were catchable? I'll admit, Daniels didn't have a good game, but name one offensive player that did besides Corey Robinson...

I don't believe I've denied any of that. The comment he made, and my comment, was in reference to the fact 90% of the time when certain personnel are on the field the play is predictable. Hell we as fans know what it is, I'm sure the opposing coaches can figure it out. I wasn't happy with his effort today either. Seemed every time he was targeted he spend more effort trying to get a call than he did trying to make a catch. But that doesn't take away the fact that we are horribly predictable.

A lot of them. He had a bunch of balls hit his hands and a lot of times he ran the wrong route. Tommy put the ball on him all game. You don't throw at a guy over 20 times and miss everytime. If that was the case, it would have been the same with the other receivers, which it wasn't.

Rewatch the game.

I somewhat agree. Davaris definitely got beat by the MSU corners today but it wasn't his worst effort. Philip always complains when DD doesn't get the ball but having said that out packages do give away what we are going to do.

Mayock would agree with old man Daniels too. He called the play based on personnel more than once. Said something along the lines of "here come the blocking receivers, we'll see a run here."
