For the record, I want to say I already knew he had family that had/is attending ISU. ;)

Very real possibility that the cyclones could go 0'fer. Time for the full court press.

He and Robinson could be a headache for the opposition with their size lined up outside. And add Quick in the slot with Golson and Zaire handling QB duties. Could be fun.

I would rather just win a couple comfortably this year.

because that had everything to with what he said...? Seriously, this was kind of random to say Bog. :)

Really hope we get Lazard, I just dont understand why a player of his caliber would go to ISU. At least DGb went to a team that puts up big stats for WRs.

Hey Hoosier!

How are you doing? Well I have to have you put your imagination glasses on. Picture me sitting with this amazed look on my face. Picture that look not changing for like the four weeks of the season. So when someone goes, "He and Robinson could be a headache for the opposition with their size lined up outside. And add Quick in the slot with Golson and Zaire handling QB duties. Could be fun . . . ," I think that I would just see this team actually win a game without anyone having to talk about fantasy, or how this or that person deserves the Heisman (not), or how this is ND and everyone brings their best game, like ND is the only team that gets this treatment. (Screw all the teams that don't bring their best game every week.)

So, see? I don't want a fun fantasy. I don't want seven psychopaths for the defensive front. I just want a team who does their best (without telegraphing, and allowing the other team time to adjust to what they see) to kick @ss every week. If they give their best, though fall short from time to time, so be it. I just don't want mental hand jobs from coaches that have yet to take total responsibility for their part, and fans that have gotten used to underachievement, and have learned to live in a world of "some day!"

Not a big thing. Bunch of great posters. But I am done with some-day and interested in to-day.

Coming for the USC game. Hemboldt says that how ISU's season goes will play a factor in his decision. Lazard wants to play for championships (I take that as wanting to win). Hemboldt says that he may have a different opinion in a month (essentially after he visits and ISU continues to tank) but for now he thinks he stays with ISU. However, it will be a much tougher battle than ISU folks expect.

Are people considering Notre Dame to be his #2 choice?

For the most part. He's been seriously considering an OV to Stanford as well but I think at this point it goes ISU and ND with Stanford there in case something happens with the other 2.

As in, in case Stanford "plays for championships" while the other two suck?
No, seriously, this is obviously good news for us. Now if only Matt Elam would come to the same conclusion.

This kid wont sign with ISU... ISU's remaining schedule:
@Tulsa
Texas
@Texas Tech
@Baylor
Oklahoma St.
@Kansas St.
TCU
@Oklahoma
Kansas
@West Virginia

Kansas and Tulsa are the only games that they have a shot at winning and I dont think they will be favorites for either of those, maybe Kansas. So at best, their record is going to be 2-10.

I would say that with how Texas is playing they might be considered beatable.

Whats better a 2-10 ISU or an 8-4 or 7-5 ND team? Just saying ND has to win as well as ISU lose. ND's schedule is not exactly peanuts and popcorn with that swiss cheese secondary.... amongst other issues.

Something to keep in mind outside of just winning is Elliot has built a good relationship with the family for awhile. Being an Iowa guy he has a good relationship with coaches and family. So, we have that working for us.

I don't think he honestly believes that they will, but he's an ISU legacy and they've been penciled in as his destination for awhile and he just needs to wrap his mind around something else. We'll see if that happens. Personally I don't think it's that much of a stretch that we flip him eventually.
