Wish we would've just taken the tentative commitment and let academics try to work themselves out. Kid is an impact player for a role we don't really have anyone suited for.

That's what worries me. In the past, we have done that and had guys like Perkins "decommit" when they couldn't turn their academic situation around. Not to mention the "heart condition" situation with Tee. What does that say about McKenzie's academics?

I want this kid bad (as I have said consistently), but I got a bad feeling.

He reminds me of a little less explosive Tavon Austin.

David Wilson/Tavon Austin light. Serious ability.

Staff definitely knows their stuff. All the players they go after are either studs or have the ability to be studs in the future.

Its funny because Chris Brown wasnt highly rated either and jumped a lot of people that were supposed to be higher in his class.

Isn't he basically a silent commit waiting confirmation to join? For all we know the staff is handling it like that.

TJ on II stated that his recruitment is on hold right now as his season is starting, and then he is going to take some officials, culminating with him OVing to ND for the USC game.

TJ added that he is in favor of pushing the timeline up in light of today's performance, and he added he was watching the game.

If I remember well, South Carolina wanted him pretty bad. There was even made up stories about his dad not wanting him to go to ND...

But he was a medium three star and there was not much hype about him. South Carolina was the home state school and expected him to show up in there.

You're right. I just meant that a few teams knew he was going to be a sleeper. We'll see what he does this year, expecting good things from him.

Per rivals he'll be deciding on Oct. 6th between ND, Rutgers, and WV. ND and WV like him at WR and Rutgers at RB. As of now he only has an official planned for ND vs. USC. Says that he'll be planning the other ones after that. IMO, I don't think he makes those other trips. Says Alford treats him like his own son.

As long as academics are in order he should be Irish. A very welcome addition to the Irish, I might add.

Hey guys, I missed the game. Is there anyway to see highlights or his highlights more specifically?

This is from a 247 article where Tarvarus McFadden talks about Mckenzie. “He’s the very best receiver I’ve ever gone against, and it’s not even close,” McFadden said. “He’s just not ordinary and is on another level on the field. He’s a real hard worker and whenever the team gets down he tries to lift them up. He’s just an extraordinary football player that can do things that other guys could only dream of doing … and Isaiah makes it look easy. He might be 5-7, but he plays way bigger than he is. He’s the very best receiver I’ve ever gone up against anywhere.”

That was just one of many plays he made that day. Very good with the ball in his hands.

Guys! Slow down! Let's make sure every other 4-star says "no" first before giving up and settling for the lazy staff's back-up plan! Sure the staff wants to win, but not as much as they just want to get recruiting over with...
