“@SBNRecruiting: Love Kizer long term, but he's been terrible today. Picked. Doubt he gets more than his guaranteed half.”

To be fair to Kizer, his team was down big already when he went in

Also, we should all keep in mind that this setting completely takes any dual threat advantages that he'll have in a real game situation going forward. For those that haven't watched a 7 on game before you have a certain amount of time to get rid of the ball or its considered a sack and guys that are used to rolling out or scrambling to let plays develop will struggle at times.

Loy said he was throwing a bunch of short routes which I have noticed he struggles with, he's much better throwing the deep ball

Loy even went as far to say that they need to open up the playbook. They missed a few first downs by just a couple of yards.

Not to high jack the thread but if Purdue would have had a better quarterback this year...we would have not been in the national championship.

If we weren't starting a QB in his 2nd game coming off a huge trip back from Ireland, we would have smoked those clowns. That trip back really hurt the team.

Their QB play for the year was solid. When a QB has a bad game, the defense usually has something to do with it. Purdue has signed almost as many QBs as they have OL the past three years. I don't care if TFB is quarterbacking the Boilermakers, they are going to struggle against our defense if they don't surround the QB with great talent.

Agreed, their QB's were running for their lives most of that game. The sack numbers weren't a good representation for how often we were in the backfield.

2 of the 5 OL are (Toa) or will be (IMO Mama) committed to USC. Ugh. Their O-line recruiting has been subpar lately and I was hoping for that to continue...

Hood doing work in the title game, on ESPNU in about 40 mins is the lineman challenge finals and replay of this game . I really want to see the lineman do work on more than just 5 sec clips.

Keith Niebuhr
Elijah Hood has been terrific on underneath stuff today .. Very shifty for a big back.

Steve Wiltfong
Carmel (Ind.) High WR Austin Roberts catches a TD from Sean White. Elijah Hood with several catches on the drive. 13-0

Lol not at all the same. How many percent of the united states are Polynesian? Would you not find it amazing if a team in the NBA had 4 native Americans?

I'm with ya. It really is astonishing the percentage of Polynesian kids that en up as talented football players. It had to be the highest percentage of population of a race of people.

Juju Smith has also balled out at WR and Tyler Luatua (couldn't make it) is arguably the #1 TE. There was a Polynesian Camp a couple weeks ago, so much talent for such a small camp.

yup. Polynesians make up anywhere from .2% to .4% of the population. Pretty sick chances of being successful playing football if your Polynesian than any other race.

First, I think he was kidding. Second, if you understand Polynesians and their football culture, this tidbit is not amazing. Native Americans in the NBA would definitely be amazing.

A child born in American Samoa is 56 times more likely to make the NFL than a child born in the United States. What's amazing about that statistic - until 3 years ago, when the statistic was created, they didn't even play football until freshman year of HS.

God I hate how their milking that Johnny Manziel came through Elite 11 but what they aren't mentioning they didn't even dub him one of the Elite 11. He participated in the camp but he wasn't one of the Elite 11

Lazard has a bunch of catches in this semifinal game on ESPNU. Hoods team plays the winner of this game in the final.

Jeebus... That's crazy. Any ideas on why? I could understand if they had major development programs and intense competition, but outside the kids playing in CA, a lot of these kids are playing high school ball in places like Hawaii. Some even without pee wee or club teams before high school. Even when you look at the kids in CA, they are still quite disproportionate from the other races in the state.
