Its just my thoughts, but to me he did not seem really moved by his ND visit and not too excited about anything. Again that could just be his personality real calm and relaxed, but I dont think he was "blown away" like a lot of the kids are for their first time.

I probably wouldn't read too much into that.

Agreed. Remember how you wanted to make sure you looked right before going to the big party? I saw him as a little more guarded because he experienced something positive he may not have expected. Kind of like before the big party. That was my first impression, but who knows? It was just my opinion.

My view of that video of was of a relatively quiet young man, who probably wanted to make a good impression to what he knew would be a more serious group of people [i.e. Notre Dame people] than most schools have. If we blank out his visual affect, and just listen to his words, he sounded thoughtful to me.

His facial habit of scrunching up his features a little, looking off for a moment, and then making solid emotionally-understated remarks is pretty typical of a person who wishes to meditate a moment before starting up his mouth --- a trait that I like very much.

He repeated the word "unique" many times. This is a giveaway that his experience and is assessment of the University made a difference --- i.e., by definition, it WAS different.

If this young superman really wants the best education and the best alumni post-graduate network alongside the outstanding coaching that he realizes is here [note his remark about what the staff did for Te'o], then it is probable that no school can match ND in these areas as a whole package.

Mike Frank just reported that both he and Carter really liked their visits and thinks both will return and both will have ND in their top 5. Also said that we impressed them much more than OSU...

Very good to hear about the OSU visit. Also that is a good point if you dont watch facial expressions and just listen to the words. I missed the part of both for sure having them in top 5 which is also great. Hopefully it was all legit and we will get an official. Could use a kid like him right away in the middle.

That's pretty much as good as anyone could've expected us to do with both of them being cold on us before getting on campus. Good job staff!

I can't look at the first post in this thread without thinking of Buckwheat from the Little Rascals.

Parents haven't visited though. I would expect it to be Tennessee though I'm not sure if his parents have visited them either. Also a late night tweet like this, I could see him not following through with it.

I don't think he follows through. Not to mention, even if he were to commit this summer to whatever school, he will quickly realize that the process isn't over.

Do most kids always have their parents or parent visit before becoming a commit?

Not all, but most. Especially the ones who are taking their time with it. For us it's usually a good thing.

Seriously.

And the first thing that came to my mind when I read that tweet is that it is not a good look for him. Not because it most likely won't be ND, but because it's a horrible reason to decide. "Getting it over with" isn't a good reason, even if you are sick of it. Knowing for certain, 1000%, is a good reason.

People who do it just to get it over with scream "decommit" in my mind. I actually hope he doesn't choose ND if that were the case. Do it for the right reasons Mouhon, or you'll regret it...

if he is getting hammered by the process, maybe ND is recruiting him like Nyles...not having to hound them but letting them know we really are high on them...could favor us..just a flip side

It's Tennessee if it's a decison made this summer.

Just curious.....

Why do you continue to post stuff like its fact instead of opinion? You were dead wrong on the Nelson deal and you've been wrong pretty consistently. Not sure why you don't post as opinion instead of fact. Gives off the wrong vibe, like that you have an inside source, etc.

Again, not attacking, just curious.

IIRC, he approached Shepard via social media and talked to him that way. Any one of us could have done the same; he'll talk to anyone.

That's what I meant. His "source" was dude from Rivals (TJ). He just passed info on like it was his own.
