He had some pretty positive comments when talking with Loy.

Per 247 Notre Dame, Bama, Cal, Stanford, and LSU are showing interest and he wants and offer from them (No USC).

Impressed by the integrity of Coach Kelly and the university to suspend Golson.

Parents and academics will be a major part of his recruitment.

Interesting he mentioned Golson. He seems like he understands a lot of universities wouldn't have handled the situation. I don't think all recruits understand that's how REAL LIFE works. I am a fan already.

Loy can be hit or miss but he says he thinks its Stanford and Cal on top and then Notre Dame and UCLA after that.

Me lovey his attitude about the way BK handled the EG situation. Still very early... but... One has to think Stanford will go all-in on this kid if he proves out this fall.

The Hebrew Joe Montana

If he headlines ND's '15 class I'm calling the class nickname now... the "Chosen People".

I love this kid. I saw him play as a freshman and was sold. One of my former students/players played with him last year, and in the summer was raving about him (this was before his soph year); people in the area knew he would blow up.

When I said he was underrated on another thread, I foolishly didn't even look at his star rating (I rarely do with players I already know about until ND offers them). I was only talking about his offers, but mistakenly didn't specify that. The day before that thread, I was talking to a USC buddy about Josh and we were both talking about how under the radar he was nationally. In mid-May his best offer by far was Tennessee, which is paltry for a 5 star recruit of his talent. By comparison other star recruits of his age are already racking up offers in the 20's and beyond. So I'm glad he's being recognized by the big dogs, especially ND, is all.

Unfortunately, if Stanford wants him, I think they'll get him. According to my guy, he really wants that Stanford offer, and to a lesser degree, Cal. Notre Dame never came up in their conversations, but that probably means nothing.

Did some digging around these CA QBs and what I came up with:

They are currently ranked Town, Rosen, Dillman but IMO in terms of upside AND chance ND lands them I'd rank it Dillman, Rosen, Town.

Of note, USC has had a QB committed for like 4 years so dont know what they are doing. Stanford hasn't offered any of them. UCLA has offered all three.

Town seems like the kid that will go South out of them so not going to go much into him.

Rosen by all accounts probably throws the prettiest ball in the 2015 OR 2014 class. I think ND will be involved but he ends up at Stanford, Cal or UCLA.

Dillman has the highest upside and I think NDs best chance at one of them. He's from Sweden so he doesn't have many preconceived notions or probably any aversion to going out of state. Landing Luatua would likely help even more in landing Dillman, ecspecially since that will likely only improve the ND staffs relationship with the La Mirada staff which already appears very good. Can't really get more in depth about Dillman than this article: Quarterback Dream Fuels Dillman

ND has shown interest in both Rosen and Dillman.

Can you imagine the headlines if Notre Dame of all places has a kid named Joshua Rosen at QB? The "Jew among Gentiles" jokes would be unbearable.

According to Barton Simmons, both of Rosen's parents went to Ivy League schools.

Perplexed USC fan on Rosen's interest in ND:

Josh Rosen sounds like a great quarterback. I was reading that he was impressed by Notre Dame. I am guessing he is Jewish based on his last name, but I could be wrong. Why would he go to Notre Dame, which is very religious from what I am aware of. Its not a moderate catholic university like Loyola Marymount University. I have nothing against universities that are religious affiliated, but I would not attend a university that is too religious such as Notre Dame.

I would love it if he went to ND, but a Jewish kid from California with ivy league parents???? I would be SHOCKED if he didn't go to Stanford. You never know, it's all about relationships... Here's to hope!

I believe Rosen will stay out west and go to Stanford. Town is the one that will leave Ca. and play elsewhere. Both will be great wherever they end up. Good luck Irish... you never know.

Said today that Stanford is still the team to beat after Chryst commitment.

Even more specific, he said it didn't impress him because he's better than Chryst anyway. My guy did tell me Rosen was cocky lol.

But this statement is in line with everything his teammate told me...Stanford is his dream offer and that's where he'll end up if they offer. With him, I can see the Stanford train continuing to roll. Kid could be special if he keeps his head straight and keeps working...

Josh Rosen has all the tools and rivals crew raves about him

It was per our rivals staff they reason for not offer it is almost a sure fire thing he goes to Cal or Standford. Now with Stanford offering Town it makes you wonder if ND will just offer. I thought Town was a USC lean?

I really love the upside and potential of Kevin Dillman. My biggest want at the QB. We need a big time QB next year

I thought Town was leaning South like Bama, UGA, & Texas. Dillman is my #1 want too.

Since it seems like he might have some sour grapes with Stanford I wish we would just offer.
