The Atlanta camp was loaded and according to reports he didn't show up at all that day. Add that to the fact that there was a lot of talent. Still a beast and in my top 5 wants for this class.

Also plays pretty weak competition from what I remember with Rochell, so they're probably weighting the camps pretty heavily.

In Rivals spring ratings changed, they waaaaayyyy overrated camp performances IMO. It should start to correct itself after these guys senior season though as I think in the end Rivals is the best service in terms or rating at the moment.

Seriously. Williams looks like a stud but Carter looks like the best edge rusher prospect in years IMO and Jaylon IMO is a potential Von Miller type level talent.

I think the ceiling for Williams is that which Prince Shembo would have had if he had ideal measurables. And Prince would be a 1st rounder without a doubt if he he was 6'4"+.

I agree with you Tommy, this recruitment started with a lot of momentum for the Irish and then has really tapered off. I think the more he gets exposed to the recruitment process the more ND will fade. I would really like it if ND turned up the pressure on him to commit

They have a lot going for them and right now the most important is location. A lot of people came to see Jaylon last spring and summer but nobody was able to see him as much as ND. Same thing applies here. We got out to see him a lot during spring evaluation but now its on him and look how easy it is to get to Auburn, not quite so easy to get here.

Last time I checked Williams had visited ND out of pocket about 57x and listed us as his only definite official along with Clemson. Unless Rochelle asked for a release, or I see a direct quote from Williams himself I find it hard to believe Williams is leaning anywhere else.

Well if you read back in the thread he did do an interview where he didn't mention ND but a few other schools he wanted to visit. This after he has visited Auburn twice in very short order and has raved about it. The sky isn't falling but you have to pay attention to what is going on at other sites otherwise you get an ND centric view.

I've never really had a good feeling about Williams. Even if we could get him to commit when he visits, I think that his recruitment would be far from over. I don't see him signing with us in Feb

he has visited there and REALLY loved it...yes they are in good position w/ him but so is ND...as others have said...he enjoys the recruiting and attention...

Yeah... I read the Kieth Niebuhr article posted 17hrs ago on the Auburn 247 board where Williams talked about his recent visits. He also mentions that they are "in the mix" with Clemson and ND.

Like I said, I'll believe they lead when I see it. That's not to say he's an ND lock, I just don't personally believe he is leaning somewhere else fwiw.

Fair enough, I also don't recall ever stating he said that specifically.

But he has repeatedly said that he will definitely take an OV to ND as well as Clemson. Hmm if it looks like a horse, and smells like a horse...

Yes I am sure he is having a blast on his visits. Yes I believe that this is a marathon not a sprint. No I do not believe another school leads.

Again, that's not to say he ends up Irish. That is just the way I feel at the moment. Ask me again in a month and I may have another answer for you.

Can I ask why y'all think Williams is ND's to lose? Is it just cause of Rochelle? I agree that ND has a solid chance, but I personally think this is an open race in which ND has a slight lead. Like a 5% lead.
