Can't understand why a Chicago kid would want to go to Vandy over ND.
SEC football + education
Also Nashville > South Bend

To be argumentative. . . .
1) Kentucky is also in the SEC, but I don't really think that is what people mean by "SEC football." Jame Franklin's epic, break-out season consisted of beating Presbyterian, Missouri, UMass, Auburn (maybe the worst Auburn team ever), Tennessee, Ole Miss, and NC State. He lost to South Carolina, Northwestern, Georgia, and Florida. Another way of saying that is they lost to every good team they played. They lost to Florida and Georgia by a combined score of 79-20.
2) Just because a school offers a good education, doesn't mean you are going to get it. USC is a good school, but the culture of the football program undermines that.
3) Nashville is better than South Bend, but I wonder how much better it is for a broke college kid that can't legally drink.
Wiltfong talked to another source over the weekend and Vandy is indeed the team to beat.
"IT'S ALL THOSE #ANCHORDOWN TWEETS THE VANDY FANS SEND HIM!!" (says star69 from his computer in the kitchen)
Chuck Martin losing out on a talented Chicago area kid? No way... they don't call him Chuck "The Closer" Martin for nothing.

Franklin is a good salesman. And believe it or not, there is quite a bit to do here. Although it is a bit of a sprawling city, they have done a lot the past 5 years to make it more modern and appealing. And there is a ton of things to do around the area, even for broke college kids.
I don't think either side is really interested in the other here. But who knows, anything can happen in recruiting
If I had to put his top group in order it would be #1 Vandy #2 Notre Dame. There's a long way to go, hes not even close to deciding.
Unfortunately for us, vandy has a relatively easy schedule this year too. Florida, Georgia and Tennessee are the only games tht stand out to me.
Being in the sec, vandy could become a huge threat to nd. We should hope they crash and burn every year.

Really? @ South Carolina and @ Texas A&M don't stand out to you? Their schedule is not as easy as you make it seem.
They will lose those 3 games. If Franklin goes 9-3, he won't be at Vandy next year - somebody like USC might come calling.

Franklin is one hell of a coach and being from Nashville would love to see him stick around. Hopefully he will never end up at USC. In two years, he turned around the Vandy football program. As far as the Morgan recruitment goes, both schools offer the ability to achieve beyond the football field. But you just can't beat the history of Notre Dame football. Chuck hopefully closes the deal on this one, if not good riddance we have overcome a lot worse.
Chuck Martin is a great assisitant IMO but damn his recruiting...it leaves a lot to be desired.
Face it...ND just isn't the place for guys like Standifer and Treadwell. IF Morgan doesn't end up at ND he wasn't a fit and it's probably better they went their separate ways.
So if he goes to Vandy he wasn't a ND fit but if he goes to ND he is? Sounds like sour grapes
Yeah, IDK the exact ranking, but Vandy is a very strong academic school. It's not like if he goes to Vandy over ND, he's taking the easy way out.
