So glad we finally are starting to see the physical specimens come in as RBs at ND. For years, LSU and Bama had these beasts at RBs that ran around you and then through you. I couldnt imagine a DB after those games not feeling like a truck ran over him. But with Bryant and now Hood...

Not hating on the previous ND rbs..but those guys never looked solidly built. And it showed in games when they never ran a soul over. I always wondered why physically there wasn't much progression despite having a weight room guru that was supposed to be legendary.

Looking forward to a power running game for years to come between these RBs and this beast of a line!

At Rivals Challenge:

His calf muscles are the size of my head. Will be great for moving the pile into the end zone!

Dont think I every had a more enjoyable time watching a running back than when Sanders played. Every single time he touched the ball, you thought something special was about to occur. Never had that feeling with another back except maybe Sweetness. My two favorite backs to watch play the game.

You can't talk about RBs with huge quads without bringing Jamal Anderson into the discussion. This picture is the best I could do with quick search but it doesn't really do him justice.

Not only was Bettis a Detroit product, my youngest son was born on Feb 5, 2006 at 6:47 PM, during Superbowl XV! That was the last time Jerome played. Brendan was born, at the exact moment that Jerome was slashing the Seattle defense on about four consecutive runs. I considered it a sign from God.

My oldest son was conceived during halftime of this Superbowl. Unfortunately, I missed the halftime show and slept through most of the 2nd half. True story.

My children weren't conceived, they were immaculate receptions, all seven of them. Ask my third daughter. She will tell you.

Seven children? How did you ever have time to follow Notre Dame football? I only had three children, and they've kept me busy for 18, 20, and 22 years respectively. The 18-year old just had Scholastic Awards Night (May 29,). Baccalaureate (May 30), Graduation (May 31), and Spring Sports Awards (June 3).

My dad is the 2nd of 14, and my mom is the 3rd of 8.

14 kids over the span of 22 years. What in the hell. hahaha

same. My dad is 1 of 15.

I'm gonna one up. My grandma is the oldest of 17 kids who each went on to average about 5-8 each and each of them 5-8 each. It's a massive catholic breeds-like-rabbits kinda family. I'm the oldest of 6, and have about 60 first cousins and around 800 second cousins to put it into perspective. Why are we even talking about this?

Hello to all the other members. I feel very fortunate to have discovered IrishEnvy. I currently follow as many Notre Dame sites as I can. IrishEnvy definitively offers a different spin. I am looking forward to being a fully active member and interacting with many of you. Thank-you and Go Irish!

Welcome to IE domerdan. As an outsider ( Bama fan ) I can tell you that the Irish fans on this site are top notch and welcoming. Plus, they offer insight on many Irish topics that is hard to find elsewhere.

So I noticed Mr. Hood did not tweet or vine a lot this weekend. Did anyone catch anything from him regarding the weekend or fallout from his vine while at the challenge?
