The common theme here is that LSU has been recruting him for a long time and may be able to play that card with him. IMO, it will come down to the type of experience he wants in college. Obviously two different schools with completely different campus lifes, education, etc.

I was actually jokingly suggesting that that was a selling point, but whatever makes you feel more important on the internet...

Sounds like somebody got a bit defensive. Maybe you should have put it in italics so people know. Why is everybody so on edge on this board lately?

Lou had an IQ above 80 and wasn't a glorified used care salesman

Oh I was simply stating that Lou ate grass, the poster only said "(Les Miles) eats grass." Yeah there is no way in hell I'd take Les Miles as a coach or a recruiter.

My nephew talked to Deshone and he has Tenn, LSU, ND, and Ala as all favorites. He said OSU and Mich are out (at least for now). The timetable for the decision is the big unknown, but DeShone does not want it to be a distraction for the team. Great kid, with huge upside and could be an outstanding fit for ND. I like ND's chances and the visit will be huge.

For some reason, I am really surprised Alabama is still up there. He doesn't have a committable offer and he just cancelled a trip down there.

Have a great visit, DeShone! ND is a special place, and all indications are that you would fit there very nicely.

If that's the update from Wiltfong, it's just Steve saying he thinks it's clear that lsu and ND are his top two and that lsu is in better shape than he thought. Still likes ND's chances and will have more with Kizer once he leaves campus later tonight.

Why would he think that LSU is in better shape than he thought if he is visiting ND today?

He is saying he may of underestimated his relationship with the LSU staff. Kizer is very high on Les Miles and Cam Cameron. Also, he says that LSU ranks as one of the nations best when hosting prospects. With that said he also states that the family prefers ND so I think this was him hedging his bets. Keep in mind that Wiltfong has ND in his crystal ball.

Of guys not committed in this class so far this is the guy we want right?? I watched a little and hes mobile and can extend plays, and his arm strength seems pretty good also. Id love to have him as part of this class

he is our best shot at QB for the moment.. we have some other kids coming to visit this month but we aren't the clear cut favorite at the moment. David Cornwell and Jacob Park are the ones visiting..

As far as the staff is concerned Im not sure. The three are Kizer, Park, and Cornwell. Not sure how they rate them. I'm Kizer, Cornwell, then park.

Wait hold the guns. Is your username referring to Lucky Luciano... I just picked up on that. Okay continue on.

It will also be interesting to see how Cunningham comes into the equation (if ever). I could see us striking out with the top guys on our board now, but Cunningham having a great season and ending up at ND. Plus ND seems to good for sons of famous athletes/ musicians.

Park to UGA, Cornwell to Bama, and Kizer to LSU/ ND. That's my best guess right now.

Cunningham probably won't end up at ND even if he is offered. Baylor is a good fit for him
