GBdomer left now...? Don't know the reason but i'm sure people were jumping him IMO.

True or not people just need to chill the F out on this board. The drama that goes on around here with GUYS is unreal.

No that was it, but coming from TP it was a sledgehammer.

I would like to say one thing in this. Wooley came back to post and said something very rational and composed. He was attacked. TP stood up for Wooley. I waited for someone else to mention this. TP deserves acknowledgment.

TP didn't need to stand for Wooley. Many in TP's shoes may not have. I respect TP for this specifically, and point to that as what is best about Irish Envy!

Relax Cleveland, it was a complete joke. My Lord...

But aren't jokes supposed to be, I don't know, like - funny?

TP's post wasn't about standing up for Wooly. It had nothing to do with that.

I laughed, which is good enough for me. Don't even get me started on your numerous nonsensical posts. Other than that, you might want to keep your nose out of this one.

Is it me, or could you use a great big cranberry juice?

I have no idea what goes on in that head of yours, so I'd say it's pretty much you.

Look, for the betterment of this site, I've stayed away from your numerous daily insane, over-the-top man-love posts that proclaim everything anyone says to be the most intelligent thing since sliced bread (my fav: calling kissme a 'football genius' for saying Denard sucked as a football player LOL).

I've stayed away from your stupid proclamations that make absolutely no sense (my 3 favs: "Brian Kelly loves to redshirt elite talent!!!" and "ND has EIGHT elite defensive linemen on the roster!!!" and "Danny Spond is uber athletic and just as athletic if not more athletic than Jaylon Smith!").

And I've stayed away from your rants in Gaelic or Sputnik or whatever language you clog our recruiting threads with.

But now you're talking sh!t again, with something that doesn't concern you in the least. Why incite drama? I referenced a rapper (Rakim) you never heard of and a famous movie line as a joke; some people got it, you didn't. It didn't concern you, but you piped in anyway. So why don't you do yourself a favor and kindly STFU, go watch Cocoon or On Golden Pond or Driving Miss Daisy, and direct your posts elsewhere.

My favorite post if yours ever. EVER. Cocoon sealed the deal for what it's worth.

Bout what I expected.

I have flaws. I don't take myself very seriously, especially on this site. It is entertainment. But I still don't like humor at individuals expenses, especially when it has to be explained off. And I often forget to put things in quotes, or write lol.

But your shortcomings are still obvious.

Yes you do. Reading my sh!t, I probably do too.

But I still don't like humor at individuals expenses, especially when it has to be explained off.

WTF are you talking about? I didn't make fun of anyone nor did I have fun at their expense. I was making fun of myself and my 'mic drop'...it really wasn't that difficult to understand. I swear, you have railed on me for years about 'not asking questions so people can further explain themselves', and then you do the same thing???

Sorry you don't know 80's rap, and sorry you don't know one of the most famous movie lines ever recorded (by Robert DiNero in Taxi Driver). But I wasn't making fun of someone. When you do your stupid posts in Gaelic that no one understands, do we assume you are making fun of someone and try to start sh!t with you? Didn't think so. Take your own advice or stfu.

And sorry Phork, PM's to bogs go viral. He doesn't know the meaning of 'private' message, sadly.

Seriously, let me officially apologize for not using italics. I don't know why I got out of the habit but that is a couple posts I was kidding on that I didn't use the "I"!

That not withstanding, I let this go on for a quick minute. Since the Kissme-Denard affair you have repeatedly made disparaging remarks toward me in your posts. All I have ever done is copied people on your private posts, that were full of filth, toward others and me. Posts you have denied making to others, while you (also) privately disparaged me to them while you tried to promote yourself. Which probably is why this is still such a hot button for you.

Being that you consider yourself an educator of youth, I thought I would point out this discrepancy. (Also I am concerned that someone that can get hooked by anyones behavior so easily be left alone with adolescents.) Yes I have been around for a while, but I know about character, good and bad.

As far as Taxi Driver(1976); my generation lived that movie. Some guys that I served with lived that movie when they came back to the world. And that line is the most over quoted cliché from celluloid. Usually, people that have a strong enough memory to remember the words, expect to be considered funny because they just say them; they think what is humorous is that they are so different than Travis. In your case, ironically it is funny because you seem to have had the same kind of emotional explosion and behavioral break that Travis Brickle did.

I think also think that it is funny that you take the tact of the younger posters. (Truth be said, you are a bit longer in the tooth, aren't you?) Regardless, this is the same kind of passive-aggressive disrespect that youngsters have shown some of the more respected posters as of late. I have seen OMM, dshans and a couple others treated this way. My hypothesis is that we graybeards were raised in a different era, where we were pointed at achieving some kind of individuality, where that was respected, and so sought after. Whereas today the goal seems to be all about being as cookie cutter as the next guy. And when I look back that is what I miss most, it is the characters. So consider my IE persona a homage, to those 'characters' that influenced me growing up and I will consider your impotent attempts to insult me in this thread as proof that I have succeeded in my goal.

I have no reason to carry this on, and I have no particular disregard (or regard) for you, but I will only continue this if the moderators move these few posts into a new thread in the LEPLOUNGE titled something like la vs. Bogs.

Who is GB? No one man bigger than the team.

PS. NDinLA - Why you hatin' on Cocoon?

An interesting thing about Cocoon: Tom Cruise is now the same age as Wilford Brimley was when he was in Cocoon.

It's The Same Old Song!

It's The Same Old Song!

You're sweet as a honey bee
But like a honey bee stings
You've gone and left my heart in pain
All you left is our favorite song
The one we danced to all night long
It used to bring sweet memories
Of a tender love that used to be

Now it's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone
It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone

A sentimental fool am I
to hear a old love song
And wanna cry
But the melody keeps haunting me
Reminding me how in love we used to be
Keep hearing the part that used to touch my heart
Saying together forever
Breaking up never

It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone
It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone

Precious memories keep a lingering on
Everytime I hear our favorite song
Now you're gone
Left this emptiness
I only reminisce
The happiness we spent
We used to dance on the music
Make romance through the music

It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone
It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone

It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone
It's the same old song
But with a different meaning
Since you been gone

Now that's some music!

Headed out for the weekend, lookin' for some sunshine!

PS. Oh, and the boat captain in Cocoon II was a little neighbor kid who used to follow me around. We actually became good friends. I named my oldest kid after him!
