Shouldn't have moved....

The trip isn't set in stone, he said he hopes to visit and he didn't mention ND when he talked to LSU Rivals

Only one that can trip up LSU right now is OSU
Well that stinks...it...shrunk

you're like a cold shower for Sherm

Blacknall to LSU increases our chances with Malachi Dupre if u want a pick me up. I know Sherm prefers Juju or Blacknall but I prefer Malachi. I'd take Brent Holmes Malone and Dupre and call it a class.

BTW, part of the reason so many WRs are interested in LSU is because this is Adam Henry's first year as their WR coach and Cam Cameron's first year as thier OC. That's two guys coming from the NFL.

My top WRs: Juju, Saeed, Quick, Dupre. A combination of any of those two and Holmes and I'd be happy.

Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU, Alabama and Florida State are recruiting him the hardest. Sounds like if he visits it will be part of a Midwest tour that will include OSU and Michigan.

247s new national reporter Ashley Barnett spoke w/ Blacknall about his summer plans and again no mention of ND. Said he will probably end up in the South.

He's told nobody but the ND reporters he might visit ND this summer.

LSU remains at the top, but the Tigers are now followed by -- in order -- Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida State and Ohio State.

Notre Dame is also one of the more recent offers for Blacknall, and New Jersey has been kind to Notre Dame in 2014 and previous years. ESPN 150 defensive end Andrew Trumbetti (Demarest, N.J./Demarest) and Quenton Nelson (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) are committed to the Irish, and Nelson is already recruiting his close friend Blacknall, ranked No. 3 in the state. The Irish moved to No. 3 on Blacknall's list after assistant coach Tony Alford came to Manalapan.

"I felt his presence and vibe and how he does things [on the visit] and called him right up after and we talked and got to know each other and he told me his background and who he coached and what he's trying to do," Blacknall said. "From there we talked about how the program is doing -- going to the national championship -- that plays a big role. They're not just a team that's playing for bowl games."

Per 24/7:

“I don’t have any leaders at the moment. LSU was up there and I was close to committing, but I decided to hold off and make sure I make the best decision for me.

The following question has the potential to derail a thread, but I'll ask anyway. Who is greater, Tony Alford or Charles Bronson?

Push....but we might need a separate thread to discuss the awesomeness of both and contrasting qualities.

I really don't know why you're so consistently poo pooing Blacknall news. Obviously, with him having southern mega-football schools out front ND might not be a good fit for what he has looking for but it's been quite consistent that he has some legitimate interest in ND.

We obviously trail LSU, but what if LSU fills up t WR? We're very solidly in that next group. At the end of the day, I'd say we have a better chance with other targets but there really isn't any disputing that we're in his top 5ish right now.

I'm not "poo pooing news", just pointing out he never mentions ND to anyone besides ND reporters. U don't think that means something? And I wouldn't say he has consistently had legitimate interest, I've read more articles where he doesn't mentions ND but mentions other schools than articles he's expressed interest in ND. He's mentioned visiting Michigan more than he has ND. But don't get me wrong, I would take him on a heartbeat.

This kid might be my new #1 want in this class. Not that I've watched everyone's tape... but a big-bodied receiver is something we've been missing since Floyd left.

I started following ND closely in '05 and was spoiled with Rhema, Stovall, JS, and Floyd (not to mention the smaller Tate). They were all obviously also complimented by some great tight ends. Our TE recruiting hasn't slacked but our WR recruiting has. It should come as no surprise, then, that DGB was my favorite recruit before he headed to Houston.

I would be jacked to get Saeed.

Well, to be fair, until this week it did look like he was all LSU. Saeed even told Loy today that he was about to commit to LSU, but then decided to hold off and weigh his options.

That's simply not true. In fact, see a post today from PANDFAN today where he put ND #3 and that wasn't to an ND reporter (right?).

All I know is of his recent articles on 247 and Rivals and he rarely mentions ND while he does OSU, LSU, other Southern schools and even Michigan more often. Do I think he visits? Yes. But he is also quoted saying he will probably go South.

This kid is so hard to read. I agree with what STL is saying because everytime I read an article or an interview with Blacknall by an ND reporter I think ND would have a really good chance. Then he'd do another interview and only mention ND in passing if at all. However from a scout article the other day he names his top 5 as LSU, Bama, ND, FSU and OSU in that order. Says he can't wait to check out South Bend and it's important to note that LSU is the only one of his top 5 he's visited so far. I was pleasantly surprised that ND were ahead of OSU as well.

Is a visit set? After the Rivals Camp (June 10th I think it would be?) and/or part of a Midwest tour?
