It's so beautiful. Instantly my favorite recruit as of right now.

Listening to it now. Kid is so awesome. Reminds me of Jaylon. Strong, early commitment, and it clicked for him on campus.

I am drinking the kool-aid right now, but I think BK and staff are getting us there. We're on the verge of eliteness. But we are doing it ND's way. I love it.

He gets it! Sometimes we miss on recruits at the end of the cycle and I start to find myself upset because I always want the guys who just get it. This kid seems to be mature beyond his age and I will say it now, if for some reason he ever flips, I will still hope he does well. Reminds me of Giovanni Bernard... not as a RB but as someone that got away but I still rooted for because of who I (thought?) he was. Great character at that age goes a long way with me. ND recruit or not.

I think we have a good one fellas (Ladies) .

It is almost erie, isn't it? Except that Hood is three inches taller, and about a tenth of a second faster . . .

But I have to say, Harding played the competition that year!

Thats why i said he reminds me of Clarrett more than anyone lol. At this age, they are comparable in size. You dont see how big MoC was in that video bc he was playing in the big school division in ohio, and like Bogs said, his competition that year was absolutely insane. Im not a MoC fan by any means but that kid was a straight beast in his high school and 1 year ncaa career.

Hood actually reminds me of Quenton Nelson, who in turn reminds me of James Aldridge, who was also an elite RB recruit.

I think Elijah is more rounded when looking at all categories of his game.

Also, James was from Meriville if I remember correctly. Poor competition for the most part.

Regardless, let's hope we can see Elijah's career play out til the fullest, unlike James who's knee limited him severely it appeared.

I tried to look it up, but in addition to Massilon and other tough area games, I believe they played St Ignatius and Cinci Moeller both that year. Must have been someone else. But the IGGY game was that of legends!

No doubt.

James was a bit taller (6'1") but they were/are listed at about the same weight. James ran with low pad level, and had both speed and power, much like Hood. I'm not saying this to knock Hood one bit, because I think everyone knows that Aldridge was a super talent, but like you said, his football life was cut short because of the knee injury. But Aldridge had it all coming out of HS.

his girlfriend broke up w/ him following his commitment to ND...whether they are related who knows but happened on same day

If she did actually cut it off....

Does she realize he's most likely going to be making big big bucks in the future?

I know money isn't everything. And I know long distance sucks.

But, damn. Lol

on a brighter note it looks like we may have possibly found our leader of the golden army...

Everyone is always saying "he reminds me of this guy or he reminds me of that guy". I don't know about all of you, but he reminds me of Elijah Hood.
