Could be a great pickup as a hybrid. Slot/RB.

I really like his RB film, especially for a white, lol. Not sure on his open field speed but he makes great cuts.

has good initial burst and runs away from the guys on film, but i'm not sure he's playing against elite competition

He reminds me of a hybrid mix of Cam McDaniel, Sam McGuffie, Julian Edelman, Wes Welker, Ryan Swope, Robby Parris, and Brian Leonard.

Looking back at previous articles on him on 247, he has actually mentioned ND in almost everyone of them as a place he would want to visit if we offered. His brother is a freshman WR at Duke.

He actually looks faster than Cam and a "stronger" runner IMO.

If a guy has the measurables [which this fellow apparently has --- despite the whacky characteristic of IE that most will forget them after he signs, and claim they can't be true], AND the guy is a gym rat from a good sports bloodline, we're at a very high percentile of getting a winner. He looks like a good one to me.

With Kelly shifting his thinking about slots and thinking more towards "all-purpose-backs" with some quick-rip burst running, Mr. McCaffrey could be just what Coach's new prototype is asking for.

He reminds me of Theo early in HS/early in his career: shifty, capable of making people miss, not elite breakaway speed.

Theo of course ended up showing plenty of tough running skills last season, but that's a different story.
