Bogs--you think Hendrix runs scout team by that time?

i've said this before in another thread, (and i am in now way starting any sort of QB controversy. i love EG) the biggest problem in getting malik on the field is the blind side is flipped for the o-line. do you move ZM over to RT and challenge him with new footwork or do you trust whoever is there? thats my question. can the o-line handle the switch on the fly if something, god forbid, happens to EG? i think thats why you keep tommy at 2 through the season and start working on implementing a lefty next year, at earliest.

maybe i just talking our of my arse. that is possible.

I think you leave everyone where they are....and put a little work in... maybe leave a back in to watch for a little while...and maybe look for a tackle who happens to have done blindside for a lefty next cycle...

I think you have defenders that were going to be a handfull regardless...we aren't talking about them...it just does not matter who, and in what scenario....Clowney is going to get his...they are going to line him up all over, and you need to double him anyway.

Its the situation where you have a defender normally lined up as a blind side specialist so-to-speak...if the defense flops him...do you worry your now blind side can handle him...or, a guy normally not on the blindside on the defense that now finds himself there...is he likely to do things to stress our now blind side oline...

IMHO...most times it ballances. Many times the ability to apply pressure consistantly hinges on a razor thin margin often defined by comfort putting on your moves as a rusher...if you are a defender who is a threat from the blindside of righty QBs...you just are not going to have the comfort and quite the same skill from the other side...If you are not normally a guy who is used to attacking from the blind side...you likely won't do too much damage because there is a part of your game folks already recognize that isn't a blind side threat...like I said I think it is an issue of ballancing deficits...just MHO.

Edit: sorry didn't see where you specifically asked bogs...not speaking for him...just my .02.

“@NDatRivals: Kelly says the slot receiver position remains in development, still looking for an every down player for that hybrid spot.”

“@NDatRivals: High praise for Sheldon Day. "There's no one we have defensively that gets off blocks like Sheldon Day." Says it's an innate trait.”

please--all comments welcome! i said bogs because A. i was originally responding to his post. and B. i enjoy his opinion/knowledge.

i understand your take. an attacking d is going to bring it from any and all sides--my stance is, could our offense function at even mid level form by having everything mirrored if EG comes off the field. at this point, i think we'd be asking a lot of this offense that really only had flash in the pan brilliance last year, to not only take a potential step back with a truer freshman than EG was last year AND flip the field as to having a left hander.

too much to put him at 2. Maybe he gets to 3, and yet my question again: can we put hendrix to run scout if coach puts MZ at 3? are we basically signing a transfer for Hendrix if he gets hopped/bumped?

i think regardless MZ has to sit this year and run scout. based on depth chart management, experience/time in program, and strength of o-line really being the left side.

How'd you like to be the center having to deal with big Louis every day?

Pain.

I have been telling you all. About Robinson. About Owaulu. And about Sheldon Day. These guys are going to kick ***. Add Okwara and Jones on defense with Day. My last big thing about 8 elite between DL and CAT is coming true. Now I will tell you another (THIS TEAM IS EFFIN BLOSSOMING). CJ Prosise is going to be a monster WR. Think physical like Michael Floyd. The WR corps, which everybody was thinking was depleted is going to be like the radioactive Zombie Defense killers this year. And they are going to be young!

Robinson, Ferguson, CBreezy, Owaulu, Prosise, Old men Smith and Jones, along with Daniels. I am telling you they are going to be on ropes with Golson. It is going to be one of those hotdammn moments.

So far I got defensive line hits unparalleled elite heights. Day is off the charts.

Wide Receivers total over achievers and blister defenses with their dead zone deadly radioactivity. Remind me next winter if I am wrong!
