He's using his spring break to visit some schools with his parents. Hiestand had been communicating with Braden through his HS coach for a while but contact slowed once they got him to commit to a visit.

nice to get him up for the very first day of spring ball...should be a lot of energy that day.

Really liked OSU and Urban. Still maintaining that he will take at least a few OVs before making a decision and that, "not one program has solidified one of those trips at this point. " To put in perspective, he has recently visited A&M, Bama, and Oklahoma as well. He seems to be very level headed and wants to play it all out.

Urban probably said he had a dream that Braden Smith and him were locked arms running through that tunnel. Than playing the role of Percy Harvin and tackle at the same time.

Heard Urban speak last night at a National Football Foundation Banquet. The dude seems like he is easy to play for and I can see how/why recruits love him. Sells his program as good as anybody in the country.

I went back and looked at this kid's video. He sure is athletic! He is almost like a throwback to the old pulling guard; he just pulls everywhere in this offense to lead the play, doesn't he? Have you ever seen as many knockdowns? Wow! I think his rating at guard is based upon his phenomenal leg drive, and his ability to pull, track down, and annihilate in space!

I would need to see more film before I picked a position, but you know what I think? I think he could probably play any line position. (not having seen a lot of the left tackles skills expressed in the tape, because of the way his HS uses him) Guys that are that athletic and balanced in skills, if they have the smarts, a lot of people like to see them play center, too!
