It really stinks losing him. But putting it into perspective, we miss out on just one year with him as a starter basically and will miss any services he could have provided as a solid backup. Zaire has to step up now and can get two years as starter maybe. Just trying to put a positive spin on a negative thing :/

Alabama? One more year of Mccarron, then it's open. Long shot since he wasn't really considering them before.

if he was our future I would be so demoralized. But since we have golson for a few more years and zaire EE...it doesn't really bother me. Best of luck.

With what BK has been recruiting, the handwriting was on the wall. Maybe it was faint, but it was there. Wouldn't it be funny if it ended up at IU after all? lol

Best wishes to him.

So much for depth. That's all I am going to say about this.

And you'd be wrong. Everyone has been aware, but never wanted to say, that Notre Dame was past the point of comfortable depth, and very much into the "transfer lookout" zone.

Golson, Rees, Hendrix. Three capable quarterbacks.

This is the only part that bothers me. God forbid EG gets hurt, I can't take anymore Rees at the helm. Thanks for all he did, but this team can only be held back by him now.

Ho hum. Felt like we needed Gunner when we didnt know what we had with Everett, but Gunner is blocked until his 5th year, and there's no guarantee he would be ahead of Malik for the job at that point anyways. I don't want him to go, but he's a luxury on the roster.
