I'd say most likely now is 6'9" Chicago center Sean O'Mara. Really want Trevon Bluiett but he seems to be favoring Indiana. MSU commit Drake Harris could be a name to watch. Really early right now so we'll see how things develop.

Harris isn't playing basketball in college any more after his football recruitment blew up.

Wow I always figured he was just as good at Bball as Football. Kid was a high 4 star bball player.

yeah he was going to play both at MSU, but for whatever reason he's changed his mind and opened up his recruitment. He has said multiple times since he won't play both.

I wish we could get a highly recruited 7 footer. I have never seen that at ND

I wasn't following basketball back then. I started paying attention when we had Falls and Carter

Torin Francis and the Chris Thomas were the first ND bball players I remember. Started young lol.

Syracuse lost to UCONN wow.

Between Football and Basketball

The year of the overtimes... Geesh

Good win though! FTs were actually clutch in OT this time!

Ah yes the worst of the Zellers. Also the tallest 3 point shooter I ever saw.

Seriously. I played against him in high school and he would just shoot three after three and there was no way to freaking guard him. Didn't do a lick at ND though.

While were talking about former ND letdowns....are there any 2014 studs on the radar? Basketball recruiting news is rare compared to football haha

The amount of talent that comes out of Chicago annually is absolutely insane, 2014 is no exception. Unfortunately, I assume most of them can't read and write.

Also, there are nine Big East teams within 1.5 games of a championship hahah

Syracuse (8-3)
Georgetown (8-3)
Marquette (8-3)
Pittsburgh (8-4)
Notre Dame (8-4)
Louisville (8-4)
Connecticut (7-4)
Cincinnati (7-5)
St. John's (7-5)

That is just stupid.

I think it's possible that we actually don't take anyone in the 2014 class. If Knight is brought back, we have a full roster. I really dislike the offer to Torres because of this.

Good win, though tough to watch at times. I think Auguste needs more playing time/touches. He has some great athleticism for his size.

But Knight and others will be gone by the time the 2014 class gets to campus. Atkins will be out of eligibility too.

Technically uconn can't win... Can they?
I know they can't play in the east tourney anyway.

Saturday's game against little ol' Providence won't be easy. They have won three in a row, beating Villanova, Cincinnati and USF. They're actually a pretty solid team, looking at a six-point loss to Syracuse, a four-point loss to Pittsburgh, and an overtime loss to Connecticut.

Damn you Big East and every team being good.

Pretty sure we had to offer Torres to get Demetrius

The McDonald's All American team is going to be announced today at 5 PM, and there's a good chance Demetrius will be one of the 24 selected for it! He'd be our first since Luke Zeller
