Amen!

Fangupo runs well for an OT against defenders in a small state.

Bettis ran wild over (150 yds, 3 TDs) and away from the SEC's best in the '92 Sugar Bowl.

Plus that whole HOF-caliber NFL career thing he had.

...would set NCAA record for red zone efficiency...

I'm shocked people can't see this kid's gifts...somebody better check in with Bettis, because I'd swear those are his feet.

This kid couldn't be Tuitt's caddy.

Check Tuitt's footspeed and stride heading to the endzone:

Starts at the 2:25 mark.

He's athletic for a big man, but not much more than that.

Nobody likes tackling the big guys, but it's easy to make them fumble.

Oh please. If Jerome Bettis played in a league where tackling knees was apparently frowned upon, he'd have scored every play. If a Notre Dame coaches watched this, they wouldn't get around to offering him because they'd be too busy throwing up at the sight of such vomit-inducing tackling and the nonexistent angles of defensive backs playing "catch the runningback" instead of "attack the running back."

If he doesn't get his weight down so he can move, I'll give him about one quarter of action until a college safety flies in and completely tears his knee to pieces. Seriously.

I rarely see safeties hitting a dive back unless some thing really bad happens at level 1/level2

...since Ga tech was the scope of what I was responding to...thats how I'd see him used...dive back...read 1...And I'd happily have him.

BTW...I never taught a kid to tackle knees...that usually doesn't go well for 'em if they catch one in the head.

That said you coach your hypothetical team...I'll coach mine. See you at the dream bowl. I know there is a "fake something" joke in here...too damned tired to be clever today...

I don't know...film rates can be deceiving. I've seen film for our tight end recruits where I thought they looked slow....film where they look fast.

I do know Tuitt didn't die at the end of his run....so he is a machine.

BUT...This isn't a comparison of ND anything...

would I have this kid in an option attack...YES, I WOULD!

...said the kid had really good feet...kinda where I drew the comparison to Bettis. Wasn't really being serious about comparing the two except to say both big guys with nice feet...

Big overweight guy who has some quick twitch muscle so can move his feet reasonably fast. Little kids scared to death of him hurting them. Taking away his three runs, he's averaging about 4.5ypc. My guess is that GT, BYU, and Hawaii had an extra scholarship late and decided that he could become an Olineman with a lot of nutritional work.

I watched him live against better competition. Kid has quick feet but is a much better DT. Runs to upright and fumbled twice. Oh and in real life the kid is all of 350 and then some.

Totally agree. The only way to bring a kid like this down is by going low. Which would happen, legal or not. Kids wouldn't do it maliciously, but D1 athletes arent just gonna let a kid run over them. at that weight, he is a lower body injury waiting to happen. He wouldn't last a season before having a devastating knee injury.

I would much rather tackle this kid than someone like Derrick Henry.

Runs like a kid who was not a running back until recently...I would expect he'd get coached up pretty well before he ever got to run it in college in terms of pad level and lean, etc. ...and YES, he'd drop weight and get stronger too...only adding to his agility.

Doesn't surprise me he plays DT well. Realistically what he'll be at HI...No?

really fun to see a big boy with the ball...and see the possibilities.

if he gets any play at HI...especially at RB...please post.

As long as he only takes up one scolly, offer him. I'm sure we could use him somewhere.

Dude, no offense, but this kid doesn't seem like the type of recruit that would come here (or possibly qualify for that matter) regardless of offer. He currently claims to be favoring a Juco over a legitimate offers from GT, Hawaii and Byu. Does that sound like a ND kid to you?

If I had to tackle him...I'd choose the wrong angle too. Anyway, he's not a RB at the next level unless he sheds 70lbs but I believe that his eating habits have already been established.

Wasn't being serious. Figured my opening line of if he only takes up one scolly set the tone.

I laughed...

...does he need two scholies if he takes up two seats on flights to away games...it all comes back to the airlines...cheap bastards!
