I bet one of the OLinemen are starting by year end, no idea who but easy to imagine one of those beasts works their way to the front of the lineup.

Uh, dear God help us if this ever comes to fruition.......there's not one of them who'll be mentally or physically ready to start next year. If our OL are THAT bad, then Hiestand and Longo aren't doing their jobs!!

McGovern, McGlinchey, and Montelus will likely red shirt, but I can see Bivin and Elmer getting playing time as freshmen. Bivin's Oline versatility(center/long snapper) may require his services this fall. Playing time for Elmer will help maintain his focus and determination to start as a sophomore.

Or maybe someone will just come in and be so good that he forces himself into a starting spot. Not saying I believe it will happen, but if it does it may not necessarily be down to incompetence on behalf of the coaching staff.

I think Kelly said they regard Elmer as possibly the best OT recruit in the country at his signing day press conference. I've also seen him praised as having a college ready body and being extremely intelligent. As an EE who's to say he doesn't play his way into a starting gig?

I could definetely see Bivin getting action early in his career. I fully plan on seeing him at center.

Hope Matuska isn't on Irish Envy haha

I hope Tarean isn't on either, lol.

Although, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think Tarean will change positions because of not being good. Quite the opposite. I think that he is too good to keep off the field and versatile enough to actually do it. I thought he was one of, if not the, best secondary player in his all star game. Incredible athlete.

I think Kinlaw is most likely to switch positions. limited time at DB in high school, lots of time with bball in his hand. move to wr in his future.

lifer on special teams is Devin butler imo. Russell, Cole, Shumate stays at corner imo. and corners start taking a solid look at nd going forward.

Alot of these guyi see getting a redshirt. the while o line, Zaire, hunter jr., matuska.

most likely to become a first round draft pick= max Redfield

TJ34 on II begs to differ. The kid (Kinlaw) has all of the measurables to be a success at DB. Elliott is extremely high on him. Devin Butler has a huge chance to fill in at DB. With the injuries we had this year, there will be an opportunity for him to step in and make an impact. Shumate is the ideal nickel back, and I see him playing that position quite a bit in our defensive scheme. I could see Hunter, Zaire, Matuska, and the majority of the OL class taking a redshirt this year.
