I hope the report is correct. I'd love to have TF make the 40 year decision. When his NFL career is over, Tarean will be glad to have that Notre Dame degree. The chance to play in the NFL and a Notre Dame degree, if only all the recruits looked at the big picture.

If it's reported by Wiltfong and Sapp then there is a 99.9% chance it is true

Yeah Steve talked to his HS coach this morning and he said he talked to both ND and Auburn coaches and said it sounds like it is all over.

Then his coach said this:
"I think he’s made his decision on Notre Dame. It’s always been Notre Dame. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell everyone. There were all these rumors. It’s all garbage. Everyone just freaks out."

Also of note, Tarean's mother who lives in Atlanta is also all in for ND.

This is great news. Would love to hear something directly from Folston and I don't think we're out of the woods just yet. But no way to slice this except to say it's great news.

Props to Alford and the staff staying true to the message and working their butts off.

Yeah, but I can still hope. I feel much better about a kid saying "I'm done and I'm 100% signing with Notre Dame" than I do hearing a coach make second hand comments. We've all seen how wrong coaches are sometimes with the likes of Lynch, Demarcus Robinson, etc.

"I'm done and I'm 100% signing with Notre Dame". That's kind of like what AA said, isn't it? I'm with you, I won't believe it until next week.

The information about Alford reaching out to Folston's father and mother and getting them on board is the key piece for me, and puts my mind at ease about Folston.

Alford deserves a big time raise. One of the best things Charlie did for the football program was bring him in.

The thing for me is that the staff has done everything they could. By everyone's account, this thing is a wrap. Obviously nothing is ever over until the fax comes through, but at this point if it doesn't come through it will mean that the kid lied to everyone - right to their faces - and I just don't believe you could blame anyone on our end if that happens. In recruiting you have no choice but to trust that people will honor their word (and always be prepared for them not to), and in this case the word seems to be good for us.
