The whole flying to Cali on an unofficial has me confused. Especially when he is suppose sign there in three days later.

Is it possible he is going to decommit in person? Wishful thinking? Or do I dare to hope ...

If he is paying on his own dime to fly out there and decommit he must be the most high character recruit in history...not saying he is not high character but yeah probably wishful thinking.

it would be too much for my heart to take if we landed Isaac to go along with Bryant and Folston anyway.

If he is taking unofficial visits across the country to USC and we cant even get him to get in his car and drive over to our campus, then I think this one is a pipe dream.

Getting Ty Isaac does not make or break this class. He would just be a double cherry on top along with EV.

Isaac was quoted by the USC site last night as saying USC isn't really even recruiting him anymore, it is more of a player/coach relationship. He also said he can't really get into the details right now but their class is going to be "amazing." Lane in home tonight.

except they only have two offensive linemen in a class that probably could have used 5 or 6 to plug the holes that are already evident on that team.

I am sure the coaches there are just telling him and the other commits that they are going to get all these other guys (EV, Powell, Robinson, Ramsey to stay, etc) to keep their class together.

If he's getting this info from Kiffin (and he's obviously been duped into believing whatever BS Kiffin is feeding him), then he's in for a rude awakening.

Quote from Ty:
"I don't know where people get that information," said Isaac about the rumores/reports he’ll visit Notre Dame this weekend. "I have a plane ticket to LAX for Friday and will be at USC this weekend.

I think we can put this to rest now.

It seems the coaches are promising every recruit still onboard that their class is going to finish with an epic run, be the #1 class, and be exactly what was always promised to them/get them back to the promised land. And all of the USC insiders believe it to.

We'll see what happens. I do think they AT LEAST get Powell. Does anyone think the only reason Florida took Anzalone was because Powell decommitted in the first place? Was there a corollary there?

He sounds as solid as possible.

It would be interesting to find out who offered the car and who has paid for all of these trips to LA...

Sour grapes? Maybe. ;)

Maybe its a good thing that TY is going to USC for another visit! Its just another chance for Kiffin to screw something else up like he always does.
I cant see Ty coming to ND but you never know whats going on inside the mind of a teenager!

This ship has sailed a looonnnnnng time ago. He's been completely sold on SC from the jump, and we weren't even his 2nd choice. It was always just wishful thinking on our parts, with rumors popping up just enough to keep our interests piqued...

That may be true, but if so a lot of people were fooled, not just us. Sapp has said repeatedly that he thinks it means something that when Urbie tried to get back involved with Isaac around the time of the AA games, Isaac told him to take a hike -- but Isaac was always receptive to Chuck Martin's advances.

Not going to lie, I would have loved to have this guy. That said, in two years he will be running behind an OL corps that is only about 5 or 6 strong. Wish him well (except against ND), but I don't see his USC career going the way Lane Kiffen has led him to believe.

Lane brought Marcus Allen's Heisman when he visited Ty today.

He sucks as a coach but he knows how to recruit.
