Wifey gave me a bottle of Gentleman Jack in my stocking. She also gave me a set of whiskey stones which I have always wanted to try.

For anyone on here who is into micro brews, next time you are in South Bend, take a 10 minute drive to Barehands Brewery over in Granger, IN. Their beer is aboslutely worth the trip. In fact, the place is begining to get some attention by regional brew masters and they have only been open about a year. I highly recommend it. I would compare them to a Three Floyds type of brewery, in a high quality beer and fun atmosphere sense.

Anybody tried this?

*It has a new label now, but I always see it at the liquor store and get tempted just because of the great name and the fact there is a fu-king Viking on it.

Traquair House Ale and Founders' Backwoods Bastard are also highly recommended Scotch ales.

Awesome. I'll look at those too if they have them. Trying to diversify my palate, been heavy IPA lately and Hef before that. Need to branch out, but I would strangle someone right now for a Kiltlifter or Sleepy Dog Red Rover. Miss the AZ beers.

psyched to get home and dive into my 4pack of Surly Furious. You can only get Surly in Minnesota and I had never heard of it until a friend who now lives there brought me some to try. Furious is the best IPA I've had in a long time.

^ That's a solid Winter Warmer. Love me some cold weather beers.

Have you tried Abrasive? A few my hop-head buddies swear by it.

Ha, funny you should ask ... just found out that my buddy brought me some Abrasive this time as well. Now doubly psyched.

Dragons Milk, New Holland Brewing. Holland, Michigan. 10% alcohol. Makes Guinness taste like water. Very Delicious.

Might have to stop there this weekend. Their website hasn't been updated since August, They are still open right? What would be a brew you would recommend?

Dogfish Head Midas Touch. One odd brew but it has a good story. Somewhere between mead, ale and white wine.

You snobs and your Microbrews.... lol :)

Throw me a Natty or Busch, and I'm a happy boy.

Corona and Guinness if I hit the lottery.

Took the earlier recommendations, researched a bit online, and decided to go for this one. My first trial/attempt at fine drinking. Lol. $58 a bottle and was hard to find. Tomorrows game deserved something special.
