Florida seems to have some serious problems. First their pass defense is spotty. Next, Driskel is complete garbage which in turn makes them extremely one dimensional on O. They're getting totally embarrassed.

I just dont see a reason to get upset about this game its a meaningless loss. The program is going in the right direction and I am excited about the future.

Your team not showing up and losing to a Louisville team that lost to UCONN is not the right direction no matter how much NFL talent there is

I can definitely understand the bolded part. That's exactly how I felt after the FSU game - that ND was on it's way up. I was still very disappointed that we didn't win that game for many reasons. I can't imagine thinking any game ND plays is meaningless. Including the Hawaii Bowl, Sun Bowl, etc. Those are the dregs of bowl games but they were still important to me and I'd bet 99% of our fan base.

As a player in my sport I never wanted to lose.... Ever. Even we played garbage teams in practice games on club teams. Too much pride on our team to allow that.

AT&T has temporarily disconnected Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley's phone to prevent circuit overload.

Seems over 200 college football A.D.'s are currently calling, trying to book their 2013 season opener with The Gators.

Charleston Southern has offered UF a $1,000,000.00 buyout providing they play the game in New Orleans and UF agrees to go on Offense first.

Looked like they were during part of the year, this though, is a step backwards

In Florida's defense though, if Bridgewater played for TAMU (or any Air Raid offense), he could have won the Heisman IMO

Not sure why everyone has to tell ALLIGATOR how he should feel. As a UF fan, his team has won BCS Championships and bowl games. As ND fans, we have not an have been told by other fan bases that ND does not belong. That is what is at stake for us, as fans--a sense of bragging rights and joy. I guarantee you the players want to win, but Louisville clearly wants it more---the old chip on the shoulder.

As a fan, i can see where GATOR is comig from--as a sense of comfort in his mind thay they will reload next year. I guarantee as a team or a head coach they do not feel this way. The win does nothing for him in his mind in a "feeling of joy sense" but from a program sense it should matter.

looks like your season success was masked by an overrated SEC. So what strides are made from last year to this year?

Now is a good time to look away from another team's board when your team is losing.

I don't like Florida but I don't like them getting worked.

Others will relish it.

It's your call, but I wouldn't come here hoping to make sense right now: there's none to be had.

Not from you for showing up here or rabid fans salivating about snagging future Floridian recruits...

That's just my advice.

I understand that an inferior opponent presents a no-win situation in the eyes of some fans, but its time to find a new hobby when the GD SUGAR BOWL doesn't raise your pulse.

What is the difference between a loss or a win tonight for the program?

I would say a couple of things (and for the record I am somewhat of a fan of Florida from the Steve Spurrier days). 1. The coaches did not have the players ready to play at all. 2. Florida was in too many close games against average opponets this year and this game makes me wonder if this years record was a mirage and maybe they haven't made any progress since last year. 3. Florida has no QB. Driskel has been rough his year and really needs to make progress next year. He has very little pocket awareness and holds the ball too long.

Literally couldn't have said it better.

Your program looks like an overrated, undisciplined group of punks being demolished by a Big East School with a Coach from your previous regime. That's not a good thing.

I'm not going to say what it would be like if you won, because I don't write fantasy.

Florida is going in the same direction as the '92 Sugar Bowl.

Do you know what the difference between Florida and Cheerios is?

Cheerios belong in a bowl.

It would raise my pulse. I just can see when its all said and done how he isnt overly worked up about it.

I was pissed last year because, at the time, I felt ND missed a chance to add another building block to success. These feelings we are talking about are all relative to your experience and mind set as fans.

For instance---this win for Louisville is humungous for them as a program and i bet Lousiville boards (whatever they may be) would be crushed if they pissed that game away...
