Anybody else socked in due to the blizzard? I bought a case of beer and tons of food, and fired up my "Irish Classic Games" DVD collection. Watching the Penn State Snow Bowl game, figured it was fitting.

We got lucky in Chicago. Just a small dusting. Very windy now but very little accumulation as far as snow fall goes.

BTW the Penn State snowbowl game was supposed to me my first ND football game. My grandparents who at the time where season ticket holders at the time wanted to take me. My parents, mainly my mother decided that because of the weather that the game would not the best game for a 1st grader to attend. My first game ended up being Michigan State in 93.

Toledo is all ice and starting to get it good. No prep by the city, suburbs, or county, whatsoever. I got the kids over and we are watching Indy Jones, or Harry Potter. The kids got the respective Blue Ray collections for Christmas.

I still have enough Bacardi and Egg Nog, for a day and a half. (Stop with the nog and switch to diet dark in the middle.

Ft. Wayne is getting clipped by it. Not terrible yet but staying in to relax. Wind sucks bad.

My sister was on her way back to Chicago from Toledo and just got in an accident on the turnpike. She said it was a sheet of ice which really surprises me because they usually take care of toll roads. Luckily she wasn't driving and her and get friend are both ok. Car is likely totaled.

Christmas road trip to Indy from ATL.... should have returned last night. 10 inches in my mother's front yard (Southside of Indy) and wind whirling. Rolling the the 4wd, but decided to stay an extra night. Loaded up my mother's bird and squirrel feeders and put them out earlier (a few of mom's Christmas presents). She's watching the million animals feeding through the window (she is St. Francine) while I'm watching Netflix. Nice to see snow this year, but hard adjustment from teh 80s/sunny in SW Florida last week.

This season took at least 10 years off my life. I'm waiting to relive after the NC. Can't handle it till then. Might be able to handle Wake, BC, Miami, or the Navy game, but aint going near the 8 others.

Went out at 8 this morning to go to Whole Foods and they said they were closed until 10. Went back at 10 and it was 10 times worse out.

Yea my cousin is driving from Indianapolis to Chicago right now. She spent christmas with her husbands in Indy and we are actually going have Christmas with them today on the 26th here. The party was supposed to be at 3:00 just now got a call saying not to show up at my aunt's till 4:00. That is fine with me has I won't make till 4:30 anyway as I have to work. That said I hope they make it safely up I-65 and then the toll road on into the Chicago Skyway.

Sitting here on the SE side of Indy watching westerns. Went to the let dogs out this morning and they looked at me like I was crazy. Had to nudge them to get them out the door. They did their business lickity split and were right back at the door. lol

Just looked at the Radar. This thing is huge (very wide)! Basically it covers from the Indiana/Illinios border (looks like it will nick Chicago a bit in certain areas but nothing I'm concerned with) pretty much all the way to east coach.

Blizzard has hit or will hit at some point: Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virgina, New York, Massachussetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Also has or will briefly nick Illinios, Kentucky, and New Jersey. Virginia, Maryland, DC, and southern New Jersey are getting rain.

Check out the map if you like. Got it set Chicago zip code, zoom out though and you will just how wide this thing is.

The good news is when I pulled out this morning there was a huge puddle of coolant on the snow. Truck has been running so good I haven't popped the hood but noticed a gasket (possibly plenum) is leaking like a sieve.

Plenty of fluid left in reservoir and under cap, but getting fixed ASAP, and prolly wouldn't have noticed it didn't look like freaking Hoth outside.

Dunno how to post pics from iPhone. Have to have URL to post pics apparently. Snow is slowing down here though thankfully.

Good luck ryno! Notice on your map? The big hole in the storm up the Maumee Valley in through Toledo? We have an inch or two down, and it is still snowing but we aren't going to get hammered.

Kids are outside with neighbors having a snowball fight. Wow! I remember those days! Looks like a lot of fun. I'd like to go out, but I better get the cocoa ready!
