With all respect, I think he is a blinding flash compared to Carlo. And I am not sure he has the family connections.

I checked and most sourced I could find call him over six foot. Probably a heathy six-one to a short six-two, but he is one of those guys who's build makes him look shorter from a distance.

Kind of like Sheldon Day. Only when you stand next to him you realize he really isn't six two either. (His legs are about as big around as a normal man's chest.)

Just watch the highlights and those were much better than expected. When I saw his name on the list for the high school Butkus award I was curious to see why. That was very good tape considering where he is rated and my expectations. Straight animal.

I caught one of Deeb's games this year. He has all the tools, ability, and desire to make an impact at ND. 6'2'' seemed legit to me, if not it's pretty close.

I finally saw the hightlights. Give me a break! What does anybody want. He is stronger and faster than anyone else on the tape. It doesn't matter if they sped the whole tape up! He is still running people with the ball into the ground. He is still making plays in the backfield

He kinda reminds me of a young Manti. (Who is six-two.)

I like Deeb a lot. I think he will make us all smile before his career at ND is over. Tough, hard nosed type who just likes to hit.

I can't read his name without thinking of this guy:

Muad'Deeb would be a cool nickname, but I doubt his teammates are familiar with cheesy 80's sci-fi epics.

Senior Highlights:

Video: Senior highlights of LB Michael Deeb

Those knocking his speed - please watch. He looks plenty fast to be a very good MLB here.

This kid is one of my favorites for this class, easily. My defensive "sleeper".

I agree, love these highlights. We always knew he was tough, but what jumped out at me in this tape is his feet. Even when he bit on fakes, he showed an ability to abruptly change direction and still make the play. He's much quicker than I realized.

I think I said something similar around the time of his commitment, but this new video just reinforces it for me. I LOVE the nasty attitude he plays with. It is perfect for a MLB. The dude just wants to be on the field and put a hurt on someone, as evidence by the poor saps who got caught up in the wash of a few of the highlight plays and he just trucked them like a rag doll. He will be a defensive leader, no, a werewolf, with that attitude by the time its all over.

Deeb is a serious workaholic, 80% of what he talks about on twitter is doing school work or working out, always trying to crush both. :) Seems like he gets his team involved too, I'm definitely pumped he is coming here.

The staff has done a great job of getting really good ballplayers that want to work hard. That seems to be quality we've been recruiting.

I like Deeb a lot. he seems to have the best qualities of both Fox and Calbrese. Hard nosed tackler like Carlo, but quicker like Fox. The guy seems like one tough customer on the field.

He's definitely my favorite recruit of this class. Not the best player, yet, but his work ethic and humbleness is amazing. I can't wait to see the impact this young man leaves at ND and how he leads his teammates. He's a good one.

The Rivals guys have been raving about how much he has improved from his junior to his senior years.

I didn't know they have been saying that, but that's why I said yet. This kid has the potential to be a stud me thinks.

SIAP... mid-season highlights. The kid knows how to lay the hammer.

Also, I just asked him when his full season highlights were coming out, and this was his response. Be on the look out soon.

He does know how to lay the hammer. Looks big-looks strong-but IM non-expert O, he does not look fast.

I like this young man--but the vid was not uber impressive.

Not crazy fast, but he does seem to be able to track down RBs on the sidelines and can drop pretty well in coverage. Maybe fast enough for an ILB.

He is not straight line fast but he has quick feet. He does not get flat footed and changes direction fluidly. He accelerates quicklly so he gets to where he needs to be quickly. I would say his speed is better than Calabrese probably more like Fox in terms of speed.

+1. Even if he never plays a snap, he's a great pickup for our team. He exudes the attitude that you want permeating through your program.

Absolutely. I will make a large vBucks wager he is on special teams next year, and makes a noticeable impact.

All I can say about Deeb is that I'm excited to see him play at ND. I was at Michigan game second row in middle of tunnel, and it was hard to judge his size, but he was all smiles when walking through the tunnel. I think he is really happy about playing for ND because he looked to be soaking it all in. He has great work ethic from what I have read. That means to me that he will bust his a$$, and not expect any givens.
