A poster on II is stating that he might be getting a visit from ND tonight, stuff is happening fast.

Keep in mind that hasn't been verified by the staff over their just a random poster so there maybe no truth to it.

We've got 3 and then depending on Medical schollys and 5th years we take

We've got 2 for sure at the moment. Mattingly and James will likely make it 4 soon. And I'm counting on at least one medical (Tate), maybe more. I think 5 is a pretty conservative estimate right now.

Look for him to get a long look by ND. My best friend is in his class at immaculata and says he is very interested by ND because of the season they've had. He is a total beast. Anyone whose slightly involved with immaculata knows about him, and the administration is known to push catholic schools on its athletes

It's not that super-connected poster, is it? Isn't there one that people say is a legit insider?

Wouldn't be a bad pickup.

Had a long talk with multiple friends from Immaculata. Sounds like Tashawn doesn't like ND's scheme, isn't really up for a big academic challenge and was pressured to commit or lose a spot at Auburn. Definitely not solid on Auburn, committed more to save a spot at a program he really likes but could be wooed away. Though odds at ND do not look great. Impressionable guy though

Color me skeptical.

Does he fit as a 3-4 DE or recruitng him as an OLB. Looks like he can add a lot of weight on his frame.

Whats skeptical about that? he is an impressionable kid, and the #1 team that is 12-0 is an option for him now.

I'm skeptical of a kid who apparently wasn't up for an academic challenge now being interested ONLY because of the season we had. What happens when ND isn't 12-0 and headed to the NCG? Will those original feelings reemerge? Color me skeptical.

Emcee, not sure I don't follow the posters all that much because a lot of them are pretty ridiculous. So I just look at information and come here to chat with you fellas.

My opinion of Bower is he is extremely raw. I kind of compare him to Ogundeko in that since. And I would agree with GITF that he ends up at Rutgers. Weeks ago I was reading about how this kid was going to be the first of the Auburn commits to decommit and it was almost unanimous in the articles that Rutgers was the place.

If this kid came on board, would Matuska almost certainly play TE? I think he looks great at that position. Either way, bringing in athletes like Matuska early gives you a lot of flexibility. Bang up job by the staff

Old video (Oct. 6th) from ESPN with him talking about the versatility he brings to the table. What a great kid, he's a perfect fit for ND. He does speak about playing along the D-line at ND however.

Personally, I think Matsuka is going to play a lot as DE, just like Springmann-- and we need the depth. But I would be fine with him at TE as well. He is a big, tough kid.

Where Matuska starts his career off at is going to depend on how healthy Welch is this spring and summer. I think Matuska starts at DE like the staff has been telling him but if Welch (who has been injured a lot can't go) then I can see Matuska getting some reps at TE. Keep in mind that most likely Matuska will redshirting next year.

Matuska will play defense, because I said so.

Take this as gospel. Sherm called KeiVarae Russel to CB before he even inked his LOI.

How much more air can you blow into Sherm's head?

Now he simply explains his reasoning with "because I said so."

I also wasn't a fan of Barrati when he signed...Boy I was wrong there. After the 3rd game of the season he changed my mind.

I'm with you on Baratti. I was skeptical. However, that's where we go our separate ways, because I haven't seen Baratti do anything this year. Which is fine, he's a freshman, but I'm not ready to call him the next best safety. He intercepted a terrible Denard pass that OMM could have caught. Other than that, he hasn't even played D, has he?

He played in a couple of other games at safety as well I think (mostly just for a couple of plays) but the fact that he was in and you didn't see him getting beat or missing tackles says that he played at least ok if not pretty good.

Denard didn't even throw it.. kid is a baller though. Tons of confidence and one of the fastest on the team.

Baratti has played 11/12 games this season, and he produced 5 Tackles and 1 (big) INT. Also made a few big ST plays, IIRC. Not bad for a true freshman.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits .
Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Beware of sticky fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down , and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 20:15

Sherm Sticky a.k.a. Doubting Baratti.
