Received an invite to the Semper Fidelis game. Malik and Devin also have invites.
Not exactly a hotbed for FBS prospects, Minnesota has produced a pretty good 2013 talent pool that has attracted a handful of BCS schools to come into the North Star State.
The top five prospects in the state, headlined by four-star athlete James Onwualu (Saint Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall), are all going to BCS programs. Onwualu is headed to Notre Dame, and Iowa, Boston College, Wisconsin and Minnesota have all plucked a prospect from the state as well.
Surprisingly, not one prospect among the state's top five prospects is a lineman. Onwualu will play on offense, and the remaining four will all play in the defensive back seven.
TJ is way more explosive than James. But i do love James versatility.
you guys can compare their differences, but to me, they are very similar to each other in a variety of ways. James may have the height on TJ though.
just looked at this kid's offer list again.. me likey
If it's the one on the front page of this thread then it's not that impressive, unless you're referring to offers listed elsewhere that aren't on IE.
Idk.. when we can get a guy who has a Stanford, Ohio State and Michigan offer on the table, I'll call it a success.. but then again, I'd call myself half full
I'm not saying he's not a BCS level talent, but you won't derive at that based on his offer list. A WR who's most flattering offers are from Stanford, Michigan, and Oh St probably won't be bragging about them. But the ND one is nice.
He was 20 offers from BCS conference Qualifying schools.
No offers from NON AQs (which still in the BCS).
11 Big 10 schools
4 PAC 12 schools
2 Big 12
1 SEC (the one that requires academic capability)
1 ACC
1 ND
AND, he verballed on 3/14/12 all of 5 weeks into the current recruiting cycle. Considering how soon he verballed it's surprising that he has offers from 5 different conferences including offers from the West Coast.
Also it appears that Rivals has him listed as the #20 WR. How many Top 20 WRs has Kelly gotten to coach in his career? Not many.
How many Michael Floyd's has ND recruited over the years. Not many either.
But Kelly will do more with the talent he gets than his predecessors did.
