McNeal is a loser in every sense of the word. Maybe he should learn how to beat Arizona before he even thinks he's qualified to talk how two top 5 teams would play against each other.

Didn't Marquis Lee say that we deserve to be number 1 and that we are better than Oregon?

Did anyone see McNeal with his helmet on in the late third or fourth quarter? No balz? Wasn't he the FIRST MAN DOWN for the Trojanez?

Lee however showed so much class this whole week it made my heart ache that he wasn't Irish. ("I mean independent of his skill," he said with a straight face and pure heart.) This kid is a major class act. He was honest all week. I heard him say that ND deserved to be Number One. But I didn't hear him say a single bad thing about anyone, (even the ducks)!

We beat USC to go 12-0 on the year and are going to play in Miami for the National Championship.

Fun to say.

Here it is:

Comparing Oregon and Notre Dame, Trojans tailback Curtis McNeal said, “Notre Dame isn’t that good. Oregon would kill Notre Dame.” LB Hayes Pullard said, “I think that Notre Dame is better than Oregon. Notre Dame is the best team in the country. They play all four quarters. They’re an electrifying team on offense, defense and special teams.”

Pullard was impressed by the Notre Dame offensive line. The sophomore said, “Their offensive line recognized all our defensive fronts. They were able to block us and get to the second level. I was impressed.”

The funny thing is that Pullard actually had a good game. McNeal is a whiney ____ that isn't that good. He shouldn't be talking crap about anybody.

Pullard knows that this offense was a few late stalls away from dropping 40 while McNeal feels like their offense should have scored way more. that's my guess on the differing opinion, other than McNeal being a loser.

The poll is now up to 78% despite my vote to retain Kiffin.

We should all be voting in support of Kiffin.

Plaschke is beating up Kiffin for the Red Zone calls in the goal line stand. He rightfully points out ND had a similar goal line stand against SU but ignores the point that ND has been tough all season in the Red Zone against run or pass.

Russell had two PI calls but Wittek wasn't throwing the ball to the outside corner where Lee had position. Honestly was that Kiffin's fault?

Diaco guessed correctly that SC's big, stong, but young QB would try to sneak to use his big body AND to minimize an exchange fumble. ND's Front Seven did what a goal line unit is supposed to do.

Diaco also guessed right on crashing both safeties in a pincer twice stuffing the run. If Wittek had faked the handoff he could have waltzed into the end zone on a keeper. With a more experienced QB that might have been the call. Of course a more experienced QB would have thrown the fades into the corner.

Kelly won the game but got bashed heavily for not running Riddick into the goal line instead of throwing to Goodman which was a money play all season. SC was looking for Riddick, Kelly crossed them up but Golson threw an uncatchable ball. Right play, poor QB execution by both QBs at the goal line on pass play.

Plaschke trashes Kiffin for throwing to the FB instead of the incredibily talented SC WRs. ND doubled up on the WRs but neglected to cover the FB. Great call by Kiffin right up to the point where Wittek threw the ball at his feet. Good call but again poor execution.

I don't like Kiffin in general but Plaschke's piece was pile on after the fact knee jerk reaction. It ignored player execution, the lack of execution by Wittek and the superior execution by ND defense, one of the best defenses in the country.

Poor execution because once again Diacco brought the heat which was the right call against the inexperienced Wittek. If that had been Barkley he might have held onto the ball a little longer before throwing it.

I still would have prefered to run Riddick instead of throwing to Goodman. Yes they were looking for the run, but they weren't doing a very good job of stopping the run between the tackles.

Yep, Jackson (I think) pressured Wittek in making the bad throw because of the pressure.

Curtis McNeal meet Dan Fox. Now spend the rest of the game on the sidelines you clown.

I don't think Golson will leave early because he is not an NFL quarterback. I think he is the starting quarterback the next three years without any debate
Leaving with a four-year degree and three years of starting is not leaving early.

Also, if Russell Wilson is an NFL quarterback, then so is Golson. Kid can rip it.

I forgot to mention this the other day but when my wife and I were re-watching the game, my wife says out of now where, "Ya know, Lane Kiffin just has that face that I don't necessarily want to punch, but just b!tch slap!" God I love my wife!

Haha. One of the rules for our ND USC drinking game was drink every time they show Kiffin looking like a baby. Every single shot of him we had to drink. Awesome.

How exactly did you survive that?

Almost drank myself into a coma. Oh and we drank every time they showed the song girls.... Only good thing about USC.

Yes but Oregons Cheerleaders weren't at Touchdown Jesus last year.

So sorry no wooden ducks, or whatever.

Oregon cheerleaders are much hotter

MUCH hotter? There is no such thing in college sports. OU cheerleaders are incredible, but MUCH hotter than the Song Girls? Not a chance in hell. I've never stood next to an OU cheerleader, but I've been lucky enough to be near Song Girls (through a student's parent who works in Heritage Hall as well as some field trips to USC) on quite a few occasions, and there is simply nothing in college athletics that is much hotter than they are...

Whoa whoa whoa... Out of respect for or Sooner friends, lets refrain from referring to Oregon as "OU".

You don't get better bodies/faces than the SC songgirls. So Oregon cheerleaders aren't hotter, they just dress sluttier and are equally hot. Which is cool. For me though.... dem white sweaters. Oomph!
