You have to take those stats with a grain of salt. How many rushing plays versus passing plays have the Trojans faced? It could be their pass defense is decent because everyone runs on them skewing the numbers.

Those stats are opponent adjusted to account for such things.

Does anyone know where to find run/pass splits for various teams? Poked around for an answer to Irish#1's question, and couldn't find it.

Lane Kiffin sucks so much, watching that interview was like tearing my finger nails out. He's just such a bullshitter... I hate him.

It is kind of worrisome that everyone keeps talking about how we are going to do vs Bama when we haven't played USC yet on the road. Some people fail to realize how tough of a game this is going to be.

None, and I do mean none of the players are talking about Bama. All they are talking about on twitter is beating SC. THEY have not forgotten last year and the quit comment. Believe me, I think our players are on point. No worries about looking ahead.

Why are any fans looking past SC? Don't we all hate them more than anything? Don't we remember the past decade against these slime balls? I'm so stoked for Saturday and I'm excited to play them in their house...I want a victory and I want to embarrass them and their entire program on national TV. FUSC!!!!!

I went back a few pages and could not find a single post about us playing Bama. Not one... so who exactly are you referring to? Because in this thread, all we have been talking about is the matchup with USC.

I'm going to take a couple valiums saturday and wake up Sunday morning and find out if we are headed to the "ship". It'll be like Christmas morning, either a really good one or a really crappy one.

My nerves are exhausted and it's only Tuesday....

If I was at USC, I'd be pretty nervous. They've got an undefeated Irish wrecking ball coming into their place with a huge chip on their shoulder. Notre Dame is playing for all the marbles against their biggest rival. USC is just playing spoiler, and without their star QB.

Tweets mean everything-- I read some from Alabama, Oregon, and K-State players the past couple weeks leading up to their game stating how they were going to look past A&M, Stanford, and Baylor and onto the Natty.

ONLY reason I'm really nervous about this game is last year. As much sh*t as we give Kiffin, he outcoached Kelly handily last year. Hopefully Kelly comes in with a good game plan and allows our boys to make plays. All we need is a W.

I don't agree that kiffin outcoached us, i think the team came out flat, and couldn't over come the turnovers. we were a yard away from tying the game when that goal line fumble wen the other way for a Td.

I guess you could say that coming out flat is the coaches fault, and i don't remember every play of the game, but i do remember them gashing us in the run game, where we are much improved from last year and barkley made some great plays.

The roles of each team this year and last year are reversed, we are on the uptick, while sc is tumbling to the finish line and looking very bad in the last few weeks.

we have to punch them in the mouth early and often like ucla did, but keep the foot on the pedal the whole game, we can't let them get something positive going, because when they get fired up they can be quite scary.

Does USC have any significant injuries besides the obvious one (Barkley)?

I think we'll be okay. I think USC has cashed it in after losing to UCLA. Plus, as everyone has mentioned, the comments from last year are still fresh in a lot of peoples minds. Manti will not allow USC to win. His play will once again elevate everyone elses.

KLM was injured, so they were running right at Aaron Lynch every time. Don't miss that kid one bit.

Still very worried about Lee and Woods getting space underneath, if Lee gets the ball in space on five yard slant type routes more than five times expect him to break at least one for a big play... at least... if SC is going to beat us that's how they'll do it... That and turnovers

That is my worry. The solution is #5 popping him in the mouth!
