Who wins it? Johnny Football?
probably
Klein cannot be given the Heisman after that awful performance at Baylor.
It goes to the most outstanding player in college football. It comes down to Manziel and Manti.
Teo gets extra love because of his character, imo. If he makes a couple big plays against SC, he could have a shot.
Nope.
No way does a frosh surpass what Te'o has accomplished.
And if we win next weekend, it's spoken for hoss.
They will give it to Johnny Football. I don't agree with it, but it's just the way the award has evolved.
I dont think you realize how much people love Johnny football.

I totally agree...no way a freshman gets it
As they say ... "There is always the first time".
Well.
Then.
Give me back those ten minutes of my life and queue some dumbass gif.
Manti has as good a chance as anyone at this point. Needs a big game next week.
Great post! From a really old perspective: feelings are often in error, but this season has a storybook aura about it, and Manti is a storybook leading man. Both Joey Harrington and Eddie George said before the Saturday games that they agree that the two leading figures for Heisman were Klein and Manti. Those are two offensive guys with no reason to root for Notre Dame. Manti-the-Man and the storybook around him are bigger-than-life right now [we could blow it of course, but right now this is legend and it's Manti as folk hero].
Adding to that, all this talk about never giving it to a defensive player is in everyone's head --- exactly the right psychological atmosphere to have strong personality ["nobody's making MY mind up for me"] and guys who like REAL football ["about time we broke that pattern and gave a defensive super player some love!"] to say: Dammit this guy's the One!!
If we beat USC, I believe he wins. If we win the NC, I almost know it.
...If we win the NC, I almost know it.

Manti gets his first pick-6 against Wittek. The rest is history.
