Now I just feel bad for the Warrum voters -- why are they putting in so much effort in a meaningless exercise?

The media usually gets it right every year. They seem to have a good idea on all the top players. Plus there are a few media programs devoted to HS athletics and they do a decent job of seeing these kids in person.
