LOLOLOL. I swear the guy looks like more of an idiot everyday.

@PedroMoura
Lane Kiffin said he went for two with 1 sec left against Oregon to see if the Ducks "would break the record" for pass interference penalties

I would love nothing more for them to lose to us again. Lose to us again next along with some others and See Lane go bye bye.

Ideal situation in my mind? they somehow right the ship, stomp UCLA and ASU, we come to town and they melt down temporarily just in time to pull off a miracle win in the PAC-12 championship game, go to the rose bowl, and lose to Indiana.

This is indeed perfect.

Just thought I'd share that I get to fly out to this game as my first ever ND game, I'm a little bummed that I wont get to see a home game, but after judging the way we've played at home I couldn't think of a better way to spend my thanksgiving break from student teaching.

noticed looking at their schedule they're in the middle of a little of a gauntlet run here with playing oregon, asu, ucla, and finishing with ND.

kind of nice to be at the end...maybe they'll be banged up and ready to quit by then. or maybe not

Best thing for ND may be for U$C to slip by w/ wins against ASU and UCLA (helps ND's strength of schedule) and go into the ND game a little banged up, especially their WR's.

At this point I just don't really think it matters... SC will not be a statement win... I'm back to rooting for them to lose every game. I think they have a very legitimate shot of losing to UCLA the way UCLA moves the ball on the ground.

Wouldn't deflating the ball hinder throwing it (USC) versus running it (Oregon)?

If Oregon doesn't like Kiffin's balls, they don't have to play with them; in such a case, the Ducks can just play with their own. [read/interpret however you wish ;)]

I suspect that the equipment manager had them deflated for catching (agree with the comment someone made in the Kiffin thread), and for fumble prevention purposes (easier to grip/possess if there is less air in them). I would agree that it would have some impact on throwing though.

I'll be flying in and out of STL for this game as well! Should be a great time. Are you coming home Sunday?

While USC attests that Lane Kiffin, his staff and the roster had no knowledge of the student manager's deflating tactics, the act reflects very poorly on the entire football program.

We're supposed to believe that Kiffin--the coach who had a back-up QB switch jerseys with his punter against lowly Colorado-- knew nothing about this?

It's beyond unbelievable that this is one "rogue" student manager doing this on his own. Someone from the USC staff had to instruct him to do it.

feel bad for the student manager who had to take the fall for this. Im sure he wanted to do as he was told and not let the team down. The whole thing stinks..shame on Kiffin.

I sort of buy it. He has built a culture of cheating over there and when that happens, people will take it upon themselves to do things like this thinking that they are helping. It's a mess in LA and will be for a while.

Rumor has it that the NCAA may make USC play with overinflated footballs this week as a punishment.
