Saw how he towered over all of our other recruits in the pictures that were posted. This guy is probably going to block a field goal or two in his time at ND.

Stumbled across a web site that had film breakdowns of our current 2013 commits and posted all of them to this thread. Now posting to the individual recruits thread.

The analysis is done by Matt Alkire who worked for Scout for a number of years. Here is his bio for anyone who cares

Matt Alkire is also employed by Fox Sports where he works as a college and high school football recruiting analyst, mainly covering the Northeast portion of the country for Scout.com where he coordinates with players, coaches and administrators at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a regular for many ESPN radio affiliates for both the NFL Draft and high school recruiting, contributes on a regular basis to Fox publications and was also featured in former New England Patriot All-Pro Brent William’s book “Recruit My Son”. He has been doing extensive film study since the 2003 season for the NFL Draft. As a football player, Alkire played both defensive end and tight end and comes from a family with a rich coaching background.

I like everything in the article; even Matt Ryan! You know he is just another great (big) young man.

Did you see what I did there?

Matt Ryan picked up the team's tab at Ruth's Chris in J-Ville Wednesday night, waiter got around 50% for the tip.

“I think more than anything I think it was the total package. Notre Dame was a special place. The coaching staff is great. The football program is one of the most historic in all of America. The school is one of the top academic institutions in America. And the kids and people there are awesome as well and I’m excited to be part of it.”

Mike McGlinchey is excited to be a Semper Fidelis All-American

You don't hear a lot from this kid that's what made me worried when the thread got bumped. I was waiting to see "will be visiting PSU or something".

Glad to hear he is totally committed to ND but nothing is final until NSD...or after.
(Clement reiterated his commitment to Pitt but we all know he wanted to verbal to ND on his trip.) - that's my pause for hesitation on any recruit until they sign even though some are no brainers going to sign.

I just realized that ive known who this kid is for a couple years. My buddy, a junior in high school, played cyo basketball against him and raved to me about this kid who was at least 6"8 and was Matt ryan's cousin. The next time I talked to my friend he told me that he was going to Penn charter. I cant wait to tell my friend, who is a nd fan but much more casual than the rest of us, that he was rubbing shoulders with a future domer. Mike definitely has a ton of upside and if he bulks up he could be a great one

I think everyone can agree that Episcopal is now the worst, now that they have the best campus.

Jealousy is not a good look on me.

I went to Episcopal! Football team could go undefeated this weekend by beating Haverford. We've had an insane season.

I live two minutes from the old EA campus, presumably the one you attended. Go Churchmen!

Yessir, through 9th grade when we moved out to Newtown Square. Love Merion, lot of good memories myself on that football field on city line.

We have recenently changed to the "Churhmice" so as not to offend the ladies at our school. Yes. The churchmice. Embarrassing.

I love teams with original nicknames. I was down in GA this summer and drove by Cairo HS, home of the Cairo Syrupmakers :)

Walked by him on the stairs today at the bookstore and wow! I'm about 6'3'' 230 and he dwarfed me. 320 lb+ will be pretty easy for him I'd imagine. He was with Spond, maybe his host?

Also saw Matuska (legit 6'4") , will fuller ( I'd put a -ish after the 6'1"), and Jaylon (who was a lot bigger than I anticipated, could easily pass as college upperclassman).

Anyways, first real post here and looking forward to being part of Irish Envy community.
