I just think you might be crazy to not want him in ND's class

Agreed. Best available WR (I am not counting Treadwell because I don't think he has serious interest.) Frees up moving Fuller to the D and Corey Robinson to TE if that's how the staff wants to go.

In NCAA terms, as many empty spots as we had in last year's class. We have more then enough spots, it's just how many the staff want to take. I can't see them telling a kid no he can't EE.

I thought ND would only take 5, I remember Brindza gave up his EE spot so someone else coild take it. Has Kelly changed that and I just missed it (I hope so)?

IMO we need to take the best availible, we can't wait on one guy and then he chooses to go elsewhere. Didnt we learn from last year we need to take the talent that wants to come this is what made our class so small last year. DR is an elite WR if he wants in take him then if Mac and Max both want in we will make room.

EEs count as last years class minus the EEs and you can only sign 25 per class.

So this year if we sign 24 - 6 EEs you are left with 18 so 25 - 18 leaves you with 7 EEs possible.

That is my understanding of it correct me if i am wrong please

Yeah EEs can count against last years class but I thought ND chose to only take 5 or something a year.

This was discussed some in the summer, and I think it came down to that number 5 just being an unwritten rule/tradition. I think ND can and will take more EEs if the need arises.

I say the more EE, the better. And not just because it starts the on-field development faster.

It also helps with acclimation. Leaving high school early to go get involved with CFB and strenuous academics presents the busiest time of life some of these guys have ever experienced. The more guys that EE, the easier it is for each of them to adjust to college life. I would think it's more beneficial to form a bond with 6 other guys that EE in the same class as you, as opposed to just two or three guys arriving early.

Brian Kelly spent some quality time with Demarcus Robinson on the field after the game. That's a rarity for the head coach.

It's wild that Kelly and Co obviously love this kid, and yet has rankings that aren't quite elite. You'd think he was the best WR in the country by how they're recruiting.

Just goes to show you how coaches could give a **** about what 247/ESPN/Rivals/Scout think.

He's no slouch. I believe he's the #10 WR and top 100 overall per Rivals. That might not be "elite," but it's pretty damn good. Don't know what the other sites rank him.

It's on the front page good sir. Rivals ranks him highest, but I do agree with Riddick - they are recruiting him like he is a consensus top 5 WR type. The staff has shown that their eye is much more reliable than the services though, so they much see something real special in Demarcus to be recruiting him so heavily, especially with 4 WRs already in the fold.

Kid ran a 4.39 and 4.45 at a camp over the summer. Reminds me of Davaris

I think one or more of the WR recruits ends up on D or TE.

One little nuggett II found was that Kelly was seen talking to Demarcus immediately after the game on the field.

Arrived during first quarter so he missed all of the pre game stuff. Was smiling ear to ear in the locker room after the game and was celebrating along with players and seemed to be mixing in well and having a good time. Meeting with coaches and taking tours today with mom and uncle.
