I feel pretty confident that DeMarcus is extremely high on our skill position board. And in these situations the staff has earned my trust enough to say, they know more than I.

Bingo. If he's visiting, there is a reason, and it's probably one I don't know. If we take his verbal, there's a reason, and it's probably one I don't know.

I don't think you risk telling Robinson no or to hold on if he wants to jump in and then hope for a guy like Mack, whose been very shaky in his thought process.

I think you take Robinson this weekend if he wants to flip.

Why? We're full at WR. We have a ton of eligibility and talent at the position for the next few years. I think it's worth the risk to pass and go for more elite defensive talent. I think it's way too early to take a commitment from another WR when we're in great shape with the remaining targets. If this visit was happening in Dec or Jan, I'd feel differently.

This is me personally thinking that Fuller will be moved to the defensive side. I have absolutely no clue on the thought process of the coaching staff and no information whatsoever to go off of.

If those things happen I bet you know exactly why. Cuz this kid is a gamer and BK wants him.

I just keep thinking back to what he was able to do at Cincy. This guy knows how to develop players. He made KeiVarae Russell a freaking STARTING CB on a championship caliber team when he was a RB in high school for crying out loud. BK, do your thing and keep this train rollin'.

Plus we recruited Will Fuller as a swing player to either CB/WR. So really we only have 3 WR's.

Yep yep. We have room for a big time WR because Fuller could go over to CB.

The question would be, then, are we finished at CB (Luke and Moore)? Do we still take one of those guys if they want in, or do we only take Redfield/Mack?

Does Fuller play DB in high school or is this another ATH type the staff feels they can mold into one? They clearly have the ability to do it, based on what we've seen with Farley, Russel, and Jackson.

What I think some might be missing is the staff probably views this guy as ELITE. He is probably one of the best available players period. And I agree, IMO this kid is a gamebreaker.

Other than AM, who are we in great shape with? Cole Luke has interest and some are claiming he is ours because of a comment from Colin but that hasnt been proven so we are far from a guarantee for him. Mack is all over the place and nobody has any clue what that kid is really thinking, most think he plays to the reporter so if your a reporter for ND then he tells you what he thinks Notre Dame fans want to hear, could he land here possibly but by no means a guarantee. Max is intriguing and has said nice things but is still committed to USC and even if he does decommit, he has stated he will take visits so then again could he come here possibly but by no means a guarantee. Lastly, Treadwill is another one that visits all over the place and has interest in about 6 schools and has never put ND in the top 2 from my knowledge so thats a reach at best, my meaning with this long and winded response is that if Robinson wants to commit right now then you take it and dont risk being left at the altar.

Anyone have tape on him? Only seen the basketball clip. Great Wr body.

On a side note: Kei is a great athlete which is why he could come in right away and play. That said he is looking like a stud because the staff is not putting too much on his shoulders. Basically, keep everything in front of him and just make the tackle.

What a difference a year makes. Last year we're hoping we can wrangle in some elite talent and now we're debating what elite talent we want to choose from.

If this season continues as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone of our verbals sticks and we have to decline on a few that want to be here. BK has a plan.

Just watched his latest interview and he seems like he's confused between georgia Florida ND and Clemson so this my take a while

Yep I don't think we need to worry about him verballing this weekend unless he is blown away by the experience (which, admittedly, sometimes happens). He's not ready to commit.

I agree with GB Robinson is a take you dont say no to a kid this good in hopes some rumored leans come through. Robinson is an EE as well.

I don't know. He may as a lot do both sides but I think with his size, build, and athletic ability that he would be better served playing defense.

^ Same as you, across the board there.

Fellas, the staff may also not see Corey Robinson as a long term WR, but rather as a TE after a year or 2. So say, ultimately, that Fuller is a DB and C. Robinson is a TE, then Onwualu and Hunter are really the only 2 WR's for this class.

Great point. We don't know what the coaching staff is planning on doing with the commits/potential commits out there position-wise. We also don't know who is/isn't a "silent commit" either. IMO I would just take this at face value and trust the coaching staff knows what they are doing with the numbers/positions. Gotta be a better reason for Robinson's visit beyond an opportunity for the staff to say "Don't call us, we'll call you."

He'd be our 4th highest rated recruit, behind Smith, Anzalone and Rochell, and just barely ahead of Bivin.

I have full faith in this staff. Just hope we don't end up regretting it later.

What, for his 4th year? Yes, I think he'll stay. I can't imagine him leaving after 3 years to sit out a year and then play 1 year at a MAC school and get a degree from there.
