Recall a couple of times last year that he commented on ND heading in the right direction and Kelly doing a great job. He was actually talking ND fans down.

I think Cowherd is the least entertaining of the ESPN guys, in general. Prefer the Mikes and love Van Pelt and co. But, in general, I completely prefer ESPN to the shock jock thing on Fox Sports Radio.

He said today that we're one of the best coached teams in the country. He doubts our offense, and outside of ND-nation, who wouldn't? Arizona put up 45+ against Stanford. We, like Arizona, run a spread and it took OT to get to 20. A spade is a spade. There's good reason to be skeptical of us being a NC contender unless our offense starts playing much better.

Mike & Mike was a better show when they were just radio show and maybe their early TV show when they worked out of a closet. Once they got on the big set it turned into more of an entertainment show.

Yeah probably. My guess is Cowherd will gloss over ND winning and focus on how we won't make it to the MNC even if we win out or some BS like that just to keep poking at us.

He basically said that everyone at ESPN and all over the CFB world picked OU and picked OU by large margins. He said that he's tired of every one of Notre Dame's opponents being great teams until we beat them and then they're flawed and overrated. He said what's going to happen is Stanford was just a marginal win for us because they're overrated but if Oregon beats them it'll be counted as a quality win for Oregon. He then said that he's going to come onto Cowherd's show and gloat.
