You saw him play against the SEC last year right?

Stevens-Hawking, Ray Rice, Jim Leonhard, and MJD are all examples of small fellas that can ball. Height isn't everything.

Not at CB...can't cover. He's a good return man and a good tackler.

But would be a nice nickle back or could maybe develop into a safety, like a Bob Sanders(who isn't a big guy...but you can see what toll that position takes on small guys).

Put it this way, he's not worth a pick in the first 3 rounds in my opinion.

Also, I just had lunch with a good friend of mine who went to LSU and is in big with alumni down there (we're going fishing in Sept if anyone wants to go! down there) And said that he called some contacts that he has and they all said the same thing....this has been an ongoing problem with Tyrann and he doesn't respect the rules or polices.

He's failed, get this, 12 drug tests in the last year, year and a half.

He doesn't get it. Tyrann wasn't suspended for weed...it was for being an a$$hole that didn't respect the rules.

Good stuff. If your info is correct, LSU is, not surprisingly, tolerant. It sounds like he needs some help. I hope that he gets it before it's too late.

.....
Complain to your congressman or woman if you have a problem with laws, not the cops and coaches who merely enforce them.

Good luck barking up that tree! hahahahaha
He doesn't seem to understand that marijuana isn't the discussion at hand...it's an IDIOT who has no respect for following the rules.

Rehab? For weed?

‏@BFeldmanCBS
The FOX report that Tyrann Mathieu is at Houston drug rehab center is indeed accurate a source close to Mathieu just told me.

They do psych stuff at rehabs too. I've had my fair share of friends in rehab and ther are psych issues to deal with, even with weed. Maybe? ....

On the bright side, I just recently read an article where scientists have been able to block addiction to herion and morphine in lab rats. Human clinical trials are being scheduled as we speak. If that happens, let the party begin.....

Glad he can recognize a problem now and is getting help. Hope it all works out and he can continue to pursue his goals.

Much better option than transferring and bouncing around teams.

Not sure why people are acting like Mathieu is a sure-fire NFL star. The guy is 5-foot-nothing, 100-and-nothing.

For a second there pat I thought you were going to point out that Darrell Green was only 5'9". You have a Redskins icon under your AVI and he was a Redskins icon for 20 years.

Maybe he retired before you started following them.

as the great bob saget once said..."Marijuana is not a drug. I used to suck dick for coke. Now that's an addiction. You ever suck some dick for marijuana?"

Ray Rice & MJD may only be 5'8" or 5'9", but they are about 220lbs and as wide. This kid isn't built to withstand the rigors of playing every down in the NFL. However, I can see him on an NFL team as a kick returner and possibly a punt return man. There's been plenty of guys his size and speed that did that in the NFL.

I wasn't suggesting that he could handle the rigors of playing running back. MJD is 5'7" 208...Ray Rice is 5'8" 212...Barry Sanders 5'8" 203....all running backs (shortest average career length of any position in the NFL).

Notice my post says Darrell Green- he was a Corner- not sure what you are driving at here. Antoine Winfield goes 5'9" 180, and he's still playing CB at 35.

I can see him back on the team next year though to be honest... I dont really have a problem with that either, as long as he can get his crap together.

This kid obviously has issues, but why the hell did he consent to the search?

Also, couldn't he have just done the supplemental draft and be making bank right now? Instead, he's aiming for pacman jones status.

It would not have mattered if he consented to a search of his apt. or not. The police would have had the right to enter and search based on the smell of marijuana as "reasonable suspicion." I assume they just asked for consent as a protocal to further the basis for search, although they had no legal need to do so.

Fair enough. Just struck me as weird that the article said he consented when he had to know he was going to get busted.
