NO INJURY, lol.

From yours truly (Eric Hanson chat):

Comment From Jake
Eric, love the chat. Do you see Ishaq eventually starting and/or taking the majority of the snaps from Prince? In the small sample size we have, he seems to be causing ruckus in the backfield.
12:37

Eric Hansen:
He is pushing now, but they were toying with packages on third down that put them both on the field at the same time, and I believe those are still in play. It's a nice problem to have.

I'd love to see them on the field at the same time.

I'm thinking this will happen a lot.

IMO, and I saw a lot of this in the first game, we will run a lot of 4-3 with Ishaq lined up at DE with his hand in the ground.

Yes and he got a lot of pressure that way. Tuitt wouldn't have had a TD if it wasn't for Ishaq.

I am very interested in seeing if Diaco will use this formation against other opponents or if it was just reserved for Navy. Also, extremely excited to see the kind of pass rush we can muster without having to worry about the option.

There is such a difference in how fast and intense Ishaq is playing compared to last year. He is my (way to early) vote so far for most improved defensive player.

I would bet our nickel would be Farley based on how he was used on the Navy game and that Diaco likes to use safeties instead of corners in that role.

You could just tell Ishaq looked like a different player on Saturday. It's all about consistent play with him. All upside in world and we saw some of that on Saturday. Just a totally different attitude with him. Love what I saw

I was watching a replay of the game, and Ishaq actually forced TWO fumbles. 1 in the first half which Tuitt scooped and scored and 1 in the 4th quarter at the 9:53 mark.

He used Blanton as the nickel in 2010. He was a CB (who will be playing S in the NFL).

He and ST are the best their class had to offer. I don't care who is playing in SC or Fl.

Someone needs to steal his bicycle seat. He was my favorite recruit coming out that Kelly signed. Played great against navy since than.....

Looked very slow off the snap today, I made a point to follow him with all the talk on him lately

I did see him push the guard or center back into the Qb today. But yeah he just needs to "turn it on"... just looks unsure at times out there.

Honestly felt like I saw him jog to attempt make a tackle today. Jimmy Mac steal his bicycle seat.

He doesn't seem to trust his instincts. He's a soph so not worried at all. BK is one of the best in the biz at player development so I expect Ishaq to be better next season. He seems to be at his best right now being able to go right after it.

It will click with him. He seems to good and to smart of a person to not have it click.

Could swear I kept hearing his name being called during the WV/KSU game. Turns out there is a Meshak Williams on KSU. Unlike our Williams, this kid was making plays.

We should all thank God that The Prince is playing like a demon in front of him [which may be some of the psychological problem]. If he doesn't get it moving, we have Okwara coming to grab that place in my opinion if not Rabasa.

Ishaq has been disruptive plenty of times.. Kap got a sack thanks to him attacking the line and drawing a double team today.

He's tentative and takes plays off. The talent is there, but he hasn't bought in.

Yeah it was weird. I noticed him on a bunch of plays in the second half, near the play but not actively engaged in it. Most of the other guys on defense are diving in, and he just wasn't. I'm sure he's made some plays, but I struggle to remember them.

Ishaq should get plenty of opportunities coming off the edge this week. I'm looking for some production here, a few hurries and a sack please. Let's keep Landry's feet happy all day. As long as he's dancing we're winning.
Ishaq hit that switch and light the sooners up!

i've been thinking all of this for awhile too. i'm excited when i see him in, but, he rarely has anything to do with the play. i'm not sure he's even having "invisible stats", like say forcing the player another direction to sweep up the mess. but, to be honest i havent even seen anything like this. anyone else?
