Night game in Norman. Yikes.

Plus Oklahoma already had their annual slip-up.

People were saying the same thing about a night game in East Lansing, about how they had a 20 or so game home winning streak, and Golson looked poised in that game. He plays better away from ND stadium, it seems, so hopefully he continues that trend.

Oklahoma and Mich St aren't in the same area code man. Stoops teams win games at home like a baker making bread. This will be the biggest test for the Irish all year. Including Stanford and SC.

How many people headed to the game? I just got my last two tickets so a total of 4 of us will be making 15hr drive. My 12yr son will now be going to his second away game, first was Pur-who last year. Told him this place will likely be 100x's worse.

They're so balanced it's going to be tough. Even when they lost to K-state they out-yardaged them. I expect we'll be around 6 point dogs, but hey, if you told me before the season we'd be TD dogs to an Oklahoma team that's rolling, I'd be estatic.

You're right. But I can't look past the question marks they have on their OL. There is no reason we can not exploit that all game, and thats an area that serves as a great equalizer. Our secondary is oppurtunistic, and if we force Landry Jones to throw the ball before he's ready we will take full advantage of that and rack up some clutch INT's. Our defense is better than their offense.

As long as we don't beat ourselves with penalties and "coachable" turovers we will be in it until the end with a significant chance to pull it out. I think we can run on these guys with the help of Golsons legs, the read option adds an element that can't be overlooked, a split second delay on their defensive 7 while diagnosing the play is the different between 2 and 6 yards. I think the best bet is to use Golsons athleticism rather than his potential QB skills, in other words, take a night off with his schooling, and just let the kid play the game. Give him 2 reads, and if they aren't there...tell him to take off

I just hope we don't get away from the run like we did at times against Stanford. Lets punch Oklahoma in the mouth.

I believe we will win this game, guys. Not hope, not koolaid, I think we can square up and take it too them

Exactly how bad is their O-line? I have no idea.

It's a patch-work group. They had some big injuries during fall camp to a few starters. Theyre starting to gel, but they have not seen a defensive line like they will the 27th. We should be able to get consistent pressure with Tuitt, Nix, and KLM. Add Shembo the kamikaze maniac who lost his bike seat and we should cause a lot of trouble. I'm fired up

I just bought my tickets tonight! Can't wait! Luckily for me my drive is only about 4 1/2 hours.

Thier trophy room is pretty cool... they have the original "Play like a Champion...." sign... well, theirs at least, they have some good background on where that all came from.

Probably will be the first thing mentioned by the commentators.

- pre-game show -> cut to commentators -> cut to OU running out under "Play like a Champion" Banner -> Bring up both schools have "Play Like A Champion Today" motto

Who has played like a champion today, more often? ;)

Rhetorical question.

I have been able to watch a few of OUs games this year and I am less worried about this game than I was the Stanford game ( THis does not include the Texas game-that DC...he gone). I think I our D-Line makes it treacherous for Jones (who is not playing all that well) and Bell..... meh I dont think OU will be in our redzone enough to use him much. If we can cover Stills well enough I think we will be fine.

Completely agree with this. However, our offense is only averaging about 18 ppg against teams with any kind of defense (I excluded Navy and Miami). We'll need to score points to take the pressure off of our defense.

This will be our toughest test on the year simply because OK has such an enormous advantage when playing at home (they rarely lose when at home). The defense will be its usual self, but the offense and special teams need to step up. Keep field position in our favor and don't turn the ball over and ND should win this game.

Oh, and score more points than they do.

I am on a different outlook on this. They killed Texas (i know some of it was their own fault) and they play Kansas this week they are going to have alot of positive momentum coming into this game such as us. Playing in front of their crowd that they have been almost unbeatable at. This is going to be a huge game for the defense they has alot of speed. I think you will also see alot of 5 DB sets. they are going to throw the ball a ton. But you have to watch the sooners Trick plays and misdirections. If we can reduce their big plays on those type plays it should be a close game. I know they don't have a super defense so we should be able to move the ball against them. But i am worried about this game.

Last I checked, TX and Kansas don't have a defense. If you want a fair comparison, what they do to those two teams is like what we did to Navy and Miami.

This will be different. We have a legit defense. OK's offense isn't going to just roll in this one. This game will be epic and I think it comes down to TO's and field position. I give OK a slight edge just for being at home, but I think ND can handle them if we do the little things and play our game.

The one team they've played who actually has a decent defense is KState, currently ranked #20 in scoring defense. What's ND you ask....#2 (and that's against an insane schedule). OK only put up 19 points on KState at home and lost....just sayin

Word.

I do like ND's DL over OU's OL though, the Irish are drastically superior. That alone should keep then in the game. I do think that Kelly and Co will havr tobput up 30 points to get the win.

and Justin Brown, they are the two best recievers we have faced all year.

I do agree that Blake Bell probably won't give us much trouble

I guess traveling to Ireland and also to Chicago dont count for "road games".... I mean how could a transatlantic flight in another country not be distracting. Nor playing in an NFL style stadium and environment be different from playing at home. Maybe I should have just said away from home.... Is that better?

You're probably right, but I just have a feeling our defense will rise to the occasion and keep their offense in check.

Say ND and USC continue winning... will CGD be at USC to end the year? I say yes.
