So I have this theory. The theory is that this forum is broken up into two groups. A.) Those that only watch ND football games. B.) College football junkies who watch at least 3 games a week including ND.

I happen to fall into the group B but I'm a relatively young guy, who works for himself, doesn't have any kids, my dog likes the couch on Saturdays as much as I do and my girlfriend either sits and reads her iPad or goes and hangs out with her friends and let's me and the TV have our special moments. Point is I have the time to watch a lot of football, I realize that others may not be so lucky, whatever the reason.

What I'm trying to get at is that I think those that only watch ND games every week have an unrealistic view of how college football players should perform and an inflated sense about how good or bad ND football is. Whereas those who watch other teams realize what ND really is and have a more realistic sense of where they rank amongst other teams.

Anyway I would like to know where you all fall in this poll.

Well I have been to 3 ND games this year and will be there on Saturday so I usually only see one game on that Saturday, but I'll watch CFB all day when Notre Dame is on the road or I'm not there.

Good point. For season ticket holders answer based on your viewing habits for away games.

i watch a little of every game i can, but only watch ND intently from starting gun to final whistle.

I have a pretty good feel on where our team stacks up in the grand scheme of things.

It depends. On games I go to I only see the ND game. Maybe I will catch the primetime game but we've won all the home games this year so we party after. I was home this weekend though and watched college gameday from 9 and watched football until the LSU-SCar game ended around 11. Can't get enough of college football.

I would watch more games if I could, but I'm always asked to do stuff on Saturdays to the point where I don't always catch all of the ND game. That's why I love those condensed replays a member of ours makes.

Also, I've noticed our team only struggles when I'm not watching. First part of the UM game, most of the Stanford game (seriously came home right as Eifert scored), parts of the Purdue game too...

I watch every ND opponent available each week. I watch key "others" games.

I don't watch ND games. I experience them.

I wake up early and watch from 12pm-11pm, CFB makes me and my roommates pretty antisocial lol. Though I never catch the Thursday/Friday night games, only scrubs don't play on Saturday.

Well in that case I think you understand what needs to be done. Especially on Oct. 27 and Nov. 24.

I watch as much as possible. I obviously watch the entire ND game each week, even if it has to be on DVR. (I work weekends right now) I also watch ASU games from start to finish. (Wife is an alum and soon to be grad student) The other games I try to switch back and forth to get the best parts of them in. If I find a game that is more outstanding than the rest, I'll focus on that game. I also lean towards watching ND opponents...

Have ESPN America on all day Saturday from the preview show at 2pm through 3 full games till 4am in the morning. I'll have the laptop showing live games on as well, especially if its ND or one of their opponents. Thursday night games are too late to stay up for with work in the morning.

Baseball and CFB are the only sports I can watch all day... Saturdays I like to get up right with the first game... and watch well into the night with the late Pac 12 game.

Basically all day

Not enough. I love to watch any college football, but life has been getting in the way. Plus Saturday is all about ND football, tailgaters, campus events, etc.
This survey is flawed in that there is no "ND + 1" or "1 or 2" categories to vote.

I think most people who care enough about College Football to post on a sports site probably try to watch it as much as possible...But your theory works too. ;)

True so in that case maybe I'm just getting the die hards on a Tuesday afternoon. Maybe some of the gameday posters and Sunday morning QB's fall into group A.

True. I guess I should of added more categories. Some people who only watch two games may just count themselves in group B. I was hoping they just wouldn't vote haha.

I am a multi-tasker while watching. If at home I will put on a game while I clean up around the house or get some other work done. However, I do work at nights and on Saturdays, so I usually catch about 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter of ND home games. The games I have watched fully, Navy and Miami, have been blowouts. Bottom line is that I watch ND whenever possible. Other college football I will watch if I'm not doing something else or if I'm around the house. But I pay attention to it so I know how ND stacks up to other teams.

I used to watch a lot more sports and was a pretty major fan of my teams in football, basketball, hockey, etc. But the older I get the less I really care, honestly. I care about ND and Tulane because of my connections to those schools. There are only a few sporting events I would actually get up seriously early to watch: ND, World Cup soccer, and tennis.

In highschool/college I watched every game, every week including highschool games both on TV and locally. Now I see ND games and the occasional Thursday night game. Having responsibilities sucks.

Too much!!!! College football is so much better than the NFL. The atmosphere, the histories, the rivalries and the heroes!

ESPN America over here, has such great coverage, i get tae see 6/7 games a week.

Maybe we're using "watch" a bit loosely. I'll stop the channel and watch just about any CFB game. But I can't remember the last time I sat and watched every snap of an entire non-ND football game. I blame ADD.
