So was the weather the biggest negative about BC compared to ND? I trust that there was more to your decision than that. Like I said, I totally understand how it can be a subliminal influence, but that's different than it being the biggest negative factor.

Personally, it was a big factor between Cornell and ND.... I had been to ND many times... lacrosse camp, football games, etc.... always sunny and gorgeous. Seriously, ND's campus when it is nice weather outside is borderline unbeatable.

When I visited a Cornell... objectively a far better school for my intended major... it rained every single day... if the campus there is beautiful, I don't even know. I was there multiple days and spent my time either huddled under a rain jacket/umbrella or inside staying warm.

I got home to Virginia and completely crossed it off my list because the overall experience was just kinda sucky..... would the experience have been different if it was nice out? Maybe, maybe not. The indirect effects of bad weather cannot be overstated though.

The worst looking action movie trailer I've ever seen.

The twist is that the love interest is also played by Perry...in drag.

Back to Isaac. Not feeling positive after that assessment of his visit. We won't get him, IMO.

I was joking, kind of. Tim did not win those games by himself. Tim Tebow was a great college player, terrible NFL player but that besides the point. Fine you can say what you want him as a player and I was mostly saying it about his personality. I used to like him, I thought he was hard worker (which he is) and rooted for him. But, then he wrote that damn book. He is so arrogant and he doesn't see it. You do not write a book at twenty two. It is three hundred pages about how great he as a person and football player. You let other people say how great you are and not yourself.

Quinn and Clausen played on the two worst teams in the league... Not really a fair comparison there.

When did I ever say Quinn and Clausen were better than Tebow. I was also trying to make fun of Tebow's religious thing with thank god but I guess that didn't work. Clausen needs to get out of Carolina. Quinn, I have been really disappointed in I really thought he was going to be good. Then I thought it was Cleveland's fault but I don't know. He needs to back up a really good quarterback like a Manning or Rodgers. Also sorry Isaac for derailing your thread but since you are not likely to come here, I don't care.

... please clean this thread so it is about Isaac --- a FAR more germane topic of concern to the future of Notre Dame football.

I apologize to others for this "bump" but coming back here in anticipation of Isaac news and getting Tebow is pretty disgusting after a dozen iterations.

Last years version of ND v Stanford was far more sloppy. Field conditions were perhaps the worst I've ever witnessed but I don't recall if it was raining throughout the game. Maybe it was a warm rain. My point is, you can and will have that weather anywhere.

The field was a mess from rain a day or two before if I remember correctly. The weather was supper nice that day and slightly chilly (upper 50's maybe) during the game. Anyhow, even the Bay Area is pleasant in the winter (last January it was mid 80's for two weeks) compared to the mid-west.

Didn't mention anything about AA, but was a pretty positive update. He named a top 6 which included ND which is big because he said he didn't want to follow Manti. He also said it wouldn't bother him anymore to follow Manti, because it is an honor to be compared to him.

Said he talked with Manti and Toma and they both told him how comfortable they feel so far away from home. Manti and Robby are mentors back in Hawaii so its good they are enjoying ND.

Also said he was thinking of making final decision at Under Armour All American game but now will likely wait until NSD.

Huge, in my opinion. That was the biggest roadblock. Thanks for the update!

I always figured it would be more of an honor to be compared to Manti rather than think you'll be living in his shadow. Glad that Isaac is starting to feel the same.

This is kind of a big deal actually. I had some good friends who lived on Oahu for several years. Everyone seems to know everyone after awhile. It's kind of like a small town that way.
