Him and Atkinson are like Dickerson and James (sans doucheyness of course).

Another great effort by this young man. He is a player, this guy is the real deal. He is just starting his career and I am expecting great things.

Hope not. Arizona lit them up by spreading the field and going to the air. A ground n pound game would play right into Stanford's strengths.

Which are also Notre Dame's strengths oddly enough.

I believe Stanford has only allowed one 100 yard rusher this year and it was to Arizona. A balance of run and pass is what is needed. You can pound the football while spreading them out. That is what our offense is designed to do.

Slick field + no/light rain + no wind = throw the ball all over the place. Favors the offense.

Slick field + heavy rain + wind = chaos.

It's very, very hard to move the ball on the ground when it's very rainy/muddy because it's hard for the RB to cut and it's not as hard to run downhill towards the LOS for the defense as it is to backpedal, cut laterally, etc. like it is against the pass. The offense has the advantage of knowing where they're going. In super crappy conditions I'd like our chances to shut out Stanford.... were it not for my fear on Ben Turk hitting 30 yard punts.

'Slick field + heavy rain + wind' is bad, no question. But even in those conditions, there will be no vertical game, but there can be five-wide dink-and-dunk. I like us in that kind of a matchup.

Last two games, which might as well be 2 out of 3 games. I'll count USC against your defense, but not Duke or San Jose St.

To me it is a no brainer moving cam to wr after this year and this is why

1. Next year we have a total of 6 wr on scholarship from 10,11, and 12 class
10- tj and smith
11- daniels only!
12- neal,brown, ferguson

2. We are loaded at rb and not enough footballs to hand off
3. He is tougher than a nail and runs a sup 4 shuttle. Perfect for the slot.
4. When you run a spread offense you cannot have one wr in the entire 11 class. Cam fixes that and makes it a smooth transition to the younger group.

Yeah, I could definitely see Cam playing a lot of slot WR in the spring. Riddick and Toma graduate. Davonte Neal will be the only slot guy left. We'll need someone else to step in. But of course slot WR and RB are the same position group, so it's not like that will be a big change for him.

Well don't forget that we have Onwualu, Robinson, Fuller, and Hunter Jr. coming in next year. They will have an opportunity to contribute, espcially if 1 or 2 of them EE.

I REALLY like McDaniel at running back, if he went to slot I would be disappointed. We have Neal at slot and possibly Carlisle also. With Theo leaving and possible Wood also, our running backs would be GA3, McDaniel, Carlisle(could be a slot/rb hybrid), and Mahone.

I really want McDaniel in the backfield

I understand, but i rather see cam fix the glaring lack of depth we have in the 10 and 11 class at wr and be a major contributer to our offense. In 13 we will have tj, daniels , and cam as the big 3 and neal, ferg and brown to transition in. If cam stays at rb he maybe gets 3 touches a game. Some garbage time of 10 touches but also may not see the ball at all in some games.
